Could plants go for 1week without water if overwatered?

Ive got a few bagseed plants going only about 1 month old and im going on a 1 week vacation in 2weeks, this grow is just experimental with bagseed and nothing important so i cant be arsed to buy or make a drip system, my plants are just beginning to show sex, I was thinking if i put them in bigger pots and flushed the soil or just majorly overwatered before I left it could keep them alive for a week without water as im pretty sure if i flush a big pot with a pretty small plant in it that it will take atleast a week to dry, it will probably stunt growth but i dont care i just want a solution to keep them alive while im gone so i dont have to chop them... what do you guys think about this idea

yea i think theyll live as when i flush my pots it does usually take like a week for them to dry and im going to be moving them outside, I hope root rot wouldnt be an issue though, theyre outdoors btw

don't quote me on this but i believe that if they dry out completely (which they probably will over a week) then root rot shouldn't be a problem. i think it only happens when the roots are constantly wet...

You can put the pots into a container..water them..and the run off in the pan, container will water through capillery (sp) action... a week will be fine....I only water 2 X a week... if.... have a nice vacation... :)
