Mine were like that at the same time as yours ,don't you have any under growth?

according to high times you have time for a quick small second harvest... but they like to lie.

When you harvest, and you cut off the top buds try to leave as many shade leaves as possible. This will help the plant recover. I have heard that when you cut most of your buds off it takes a pretty big toll on the plant and it might take a week to recover and start growing again. Someone on this forum tried to re-veg a plant after they took all the buds off but i'm not sure how it turned out.
I would definitely try it, it cant hurt. Chop the top and leave it, worst case is it dies or doesnt show any new growth after a couple weeks and then you can just cut what is left. Keep us posted
Good Luck

people sometimes chop the top buds and leave the smaller bottoms to mature. I think it should work. if the weather permites.

I've harvested 1 plant so far and the whole plant was ready at one time. i had some undergrowth but a LOT of the fan leaves were falling off as well as all the leaves turning purple and orange and a bunch of weird colors.. 50% of the hairs were amber

they said it in both their november and october issue in the grow questions or something. they put some of their articles on their website... which is hightimes.com... dont know if that article was important enough to put there though.

As long as you dont have frost, just let it keep growing, unless you need to smoke it. In my opinion, the harvest should not be just a one time thing especially if you do not have alot of plants. I just clip bud after bud, but there is a delay because the trimmed area has to heal. It may be too strong of a word to use a "2nd" harvest. I doubt it would equal the "first harvest". But it would still be good smoke, the buds might not get as big as the "first" harvest. Just enjoy it, and not to worry >:)
