Cotyledon leaves (?)

This is my first ever seed. Total newbie. My partner is also growing his first seeds and they look different to mine which is why I’m wondering...

Does this look normal? I feel like the first leaves are fused like a cup and not going to open up much more and let those other leaves out.

I think maybe this is just happening because my seed is growing slower than his and it’s just taking some extra time.

Thoughts? Thank you :)

If that’s cannabis, that’s interesting... maybe bastard cannabis or some other odd mutation. What’s it look like now... curious.. not convinced haha. Is partners the same but bigger?

It’s supposed to be Purple Kush. It still looks very much the same. I think the leaves are definitely abnormal. Partners plants look normal. Will follow up with some new pics later. :)

It’s barely changed at all. I think I should just give up on it. I’ll probably just let it do it’s own thing until it dies. The other photo is one of the seeds my partner is growing (Love Potion). Ironically I wanted to grow my own because his were really lanky and I wanted to grow a better plant than him lol. Maybe the next seed will work out!

I would let it go and see what happens, as far as them being "lanky" get some florescent lighting or CFLs and put them a few inches over the seedlings

Yeah hit it with some light and see what happens, odd for sure, he might have you beat haha.
