Cotyledon help?

ok im very new this is my first grow.. one of my plants has shot a bit above the others soo she tends to show signs of things before the others.. I noticed today that the cotyledons are beginning to yellow I am simply wondering if this is normal or something else? Thank you.. first grow fears lol.. ive slowly been giving em a little more darkness.. thought maybe that was issue.. in past week went from about 21 3 to 18 6

and what is a cotylydon?
Colytedons are the two leaves that first appear on the plant after the seed breaks through the medium. They are actually part of the embryo itself. They perform the initial food production responsibilities until the first true leaves appear and take over that job.

they are simply packets of stored energy for initial growth. aka the plant's baby teeth. i dont believe they have much if any photosynthetic property so they can be removed once the true leaves come in
