OK, so I just started my room about a month ago and never have done anything like this before, this is my first grow. I spent over $2,000.00 on setting this room up thinking I had everything I needed. Turns out I forgot to order a intake fan and ducting. I ordered Green House Seed pack H and wanted to start off right with the Train Wreck, everything I have read would tell me this is the one to start with. Anyways, 2 1/2 weeks go by and the plant is staying the same size. Couldn't figure out what the hell to do. So I start reading forums about intake air, and CO2 generators and figured that had to be what was missing. I read a lot about CO2 and how and what the properties are of this chem. It would turn out that the soda bottle with sugar and yeast mix plan just wasn't going to push out much CO2 for plant use, and because I don't have a door on the room to make it air tight at this time. So I came up with this idea on how to make it work. You need (2) 2 liter bottles, any kind of air tight tubing, I used straws and it works great because of the bends, and a black CD carousel cover. Cut out a hole in the top so light can enter the top without a harmful reflection. Drill a holes in the sides on opposite sides for your hose's to fit through very tightly. Look at the picture to get a visual of what it looks like. Just think for a minute, CO2 is much heavier the air, so what you get is CO2 being generated going through the straws and into the holding area where it fills up and used. I do have an oscillating fan that blows over and exchanges new air and CO2 mixture. I since have put in a intake going to the room from an outside vent. Although I have fresh air filling the room I still keep this CO2 generator for all my younger plants. It helps them thrive even more then just getting that fresh air. Let me know what you think, and see if you all can improve it in anyway possible and share it with the world. I have searched forever trying to see if anyone has come up with an idea or anything like this, and have had no luck at all! I think this is a perfect idea for small plants and maybe only if your growing no more then 4 plants due to the space this set up can take up.
