Depending on where he lives, .......
It will go one of 2 ways...........Or this will be handed over to the narcotics division and he will be placed on surveillance to see what kind of foot traffic is going on, hoping to lead to bigger things.
Either way, lay low.
Dude!! SOOOOO very true. Officer Bob, now has probable cause and can use that FOREVER if he added it to his notes. Lay Low big time. I'm not saying be paranoid, but for the next little while (4-6 months at least) anytime you deal with the cops keep it in mind. Many state and federal statues make even possesion of paraphanalia (papers, pipes, screens, etc.) equaly punishable.
Speaking from first hand experience........
A traffic stop resulted in a cop seeing a bag in my glovebox when I went for my insurance papers. He made sure I knew he had seen it.....but I jumped for joy when all I got was a speeding ticket.
For some really strange reason.... I had two more dealings with cops in the following six months. First question both times were if I had any marijuana in my possesion. Even when I said no, I was searched... (No worries....I rarely travel with anything, and only had it with me on the traffic stop because I was comng from an afternoon of fishing.
Long story....... Short answer....... keep on your toes.
