if your mom is really sick and you can prove it with medical records . i can guarantee you worst case what wont happen . is they will lock you up for a few hours you talk to the judge and tell him your mom lives with you your helping her out. and the plants are the only meds she can have that helps her. the case will be drop with in 5 seconds. no body wants to be on the news on wants to take some ones pain meds away. keep doing what your doing . because what your doing is right . if the police came into the house and he was not there. they would give a shit less when they seen your mom there with you , they understand . your not traffic in the weed across the country or selling it. so keep calm. relax. no worries. if you get into trouble for it add me as a friend ill pay your lawyer fees 100 % its not right for good people to get messed with .

Different aspects of the industry really (SA treatment industry). For one thing, there is an ever-increasing number of addicts and addicts seeking treatment, these days. That means in-patient treatment centers are frequently at capacity, as they are limited by the number of beds of available and perhaps sometimes staff as well.* Although many do offer free care, or have funding for it thru various source (Dept's of Public Health), they would obviously rather bill an insurance company for the services. Services provided often depend heavily on what the insurance company will cover.
Once you get inside a treatment center, though, you are pretty well safe from arrest. Enough of the staff and certainly reception should be quite well versed in patient confidentiality and not confirming or denying anything (when people call to leave messages for clients, etc.). Just as police are not going to bust into a regular hospital and arrest a patient being treated, they are not likely to arrest a person being treated in-patient for substance abuse. That doesn't mean they wont wait until the person leaves. Someone would have to had done something pretty bad to be sought out and arrested in a hospital of any kind.

*This isn't really true of out-patient treatment or methadone maintenance clinics (which at times have lines of clients going out the door). On the other hand, doctors who prescribe buprenorphine/Suboxone/Subutex can only treat a certain number of patients at a time (up to 100).

Unfortunately opioid dependence treatment methods are quite limited. Unless you have a primary care doctor willing to prescribe you a shorter-acting Schedule II/III substance for home detox purposes, or can find a treatment center with other options you are pretty much limited to methadone or Suboxone detox/maintenance. Fast tapers are not very effective.

At any rate, an addict is more likely to admit themselves into treatment than surrender to the police. It also looks good should he choose to go to court. Most courts would prefer an addict get treatment anyways, and are less likely to sentence jail time for simple possession or even minor distribution charges on that condition.

On another note, long ago I had a warrant out for my arrest for a failure to appear on a probation violation charge, related to a simple possession of a Class A substance arrest. Had a warrant for over 6 months and nobody came to my house to arrest me. Maybe because I had no prior record, but it wasn't until I finally got pulled over for driving on a suspended license (per the warrant) that I was arrested (on a Friday). Didn't even have to spend a weekend (or night) in jail that time: the Court told them to release me on $40 bail so long as I PROMISED to appear in Court the following

the only they can get a warrant is if his official addy is at your house, like drivers licence issued to that addy, and other such court related shit at your addy, they may sit up the road and watch to see if your hiding him,,,,, my advise, is to lay low for a coupl weeks, no visitors coming and going, no luggin in bails of pro mix in for sure.... dont let them in... its really hard to get a judge to sign a warrant if his addy is offically some where else,,,, but like I said if he is currently listed as living there u could be in trouble. not sure what the laws are there or how laid back the pigs are, buy if what you have is enough to get a charge and end up in jail for an extented period, I would clean house.

sorry to hear man. same thing happend to my mum when I had a warrant. no one was growing at the time but they told her if she dont let them in, they would charge her with bla bla..Hiding a wanted criminal.... she let them in cause she got scared and deff didnt want any charges bc of me, i wasnt there.

About 2 weeks later they were back before sunrise, all in swat gear, surrounded the house had cars 1/4 mile up the road each dirrection. 7 cars in the drive way about 10-12 dea, state poilce, sherriffs, and town cops, I still wasnt there. My mother is 67 years old and works every day,,, I read her the laws about warrants and searching and told her not to let them in,,, this time she didnt, they did all the same threatining charges, she said when I see a warrant with my addy on Ill let you in, they were pissed!!

They staked out the house for a few months, sitting just far enought up the road they could see the end of the drive but my mother couldnt see them. In regular cars and trucks, she left at an unusual time one morning and saw them in a 2000 subaru, 2 cops in full uniform... fukers....

Be carefull man!! Alot depends on his charges also.... possision of 1 grm, coke, not so bad, aggravated trafficking of a half pound of coke and 4 sticks of dirty brown, thats a little more serious. assess your bros charges and make a decision, you can always grow more plants, but 1 strike is fines and a mark on your record,,,, its really not worth it if you can get out of it. just my experiance.

and by the way my warrants were felony mj cultivation of over 100 plants, on probation... I got rated out by a customer who told me he was legal and I trusted him. . just 1/2 way serious and they really wanted me. I finally turned my self in and got charged with trafficking, growing 135 female plants, probation revoked and served 9 months in county jail as well as a 4000 fine.... just my storrie with those fuk faz

Agree with the other posters here & if they happen to get a warrant to look for him, anything else they find (plants) are inadmissible.

I am a recovering opiate addict. Been clean for 10 months ( thanks to Suboxene). I've never gone as far as stolen from my family or anything like that, but I nearly ruined everything I had.
I'm sure your brother didnt intend for things to go the way they have. Nobody knows what its like thats never experienced becomming a prisoner to the opiate monster. He does strange things to what were previously good people.
In the end HE has to want to get out from under it. Nothing you can say or do can change that.

Insulate yourself and your family from the damage he could cause, but dont outcast him. He probably doesnt have much left now. He's your brother, and he didnt want the cops to come knocking on your door.

ps- where the cops are concerned, its all about him. They arent going to mess with you. They generally dont go around looking for more work, they have more than they want already.

My problem is, is that I have a 5x5 tent with a few marijuana plants that I am growing for my sick mom cause its the only thing that helps with her pain and suffering and the shit we get on the streets here is just nasty and It makes her cough so bad. Are they gonna go now and get a search warrant for my house cause I didn't let them in and come back to see if hes here. Cause if they do Im fucked cause they are gonna find the tent. I don't know what to do guys im freaking out right now, should I chop and burn everything right now, they are 5 weeks into flower. Or will I be fine? Answers are needed ASAP. Thank you all

Thank you for the responses everyone. Im growing for the right reasons, I have 4 fukin plants. I mean Im not supplying the northeast or anyone other than my mother and I don't even smoke more than maybe twice a year with friends. I have never been in trouble with the law other than maybe a couple of speeding tickets and I work my ass off at work and at home. Im just gonna sit back and relax and if they come back then Ill let you all know the outcome.

You won't have enough time to cut and burn, even with just one plant. If they could have gotten a warrant, they would have had it the first time. They may watch your house for a while, but that's it.

wouldn't they need a warrant that specifically states they are looking for marijuana? if they see it they could get another warrant and come back and get you tho. i would move it to a friends. or my car and park down the street?
