cooltube question

Will the cooltube be as affective as any other hood for the hps bulb

i have use a cool tube but atm i am running a bare bulb.

i think most people prefer a good quality air cooled hood type reflector. unless space is an issue and a cool tube is needed.

I think it should be close to same,but what do I know.
I want to experiment with bare bulb next thing I try.

They make a cool tube that has a hood on top of it too.
