its after Christmas d I have NO extra money laying around. I got a tent Christmas and I does have vents on it but I cant afford something more proper rite now. I do have some smaller prolly 4 inch fans and one of those 16 maybe 19 inch box fans. If I open up the bottom windows (their lil screened oblong windows) with the box fan down facing the light and open the hole on the very top with the smaller fans pushing air around or maybe some how out, would that work for 2 indicas. they are heat resistant also but I'm trying to have it at something like 80-85F. That's just I prefer. Thank every one for their input.

HID im Assuming? yeah only open the bottom vent that would come in from the boxfan and make sure you keep the box fan off the ground to avoid electric shock and or fire.

high temps.. the solution is hot air out.. cold air in. to do this you need to get a cooltube inline fan and a filter. hook the cooltube to your ballast. hang the carbon filter up at the top of the tent. same with the fan hang it up at the top of the tent to but position it so it sucks air in through the filter and blows it out the other end. connect fan and filter together at the top of the tent or as close to the top as possible as heat rises quite quick in the situation. once the fan and filter are connected, take 6 inch flex ducting from lowes and attach a piece from the fan, to your cooltube. use the screw clamps they sell there so you dont need to tape but i do both clamp and tape. on the other side of the cooltube, attach more flex duct with clamp and/or tape and position it out of your tent and into a roof/wall/floor anywhere other then the same room. You can only vent in the same room if your able to cool the heat your blowing in there. basically like a heater on in your room. open the bottom vents in the tent. when the air is going up through the filter, pushing through the cooltube cooling your light and out of the tent, it creates a passive intake.

Here is the $0 dollar answer. open the tent all up. go get a cardboard box. flatten it. wave cool air over plants. When light go out zip up tent. You have 11:59:34 till your labor must be undertaken. Lol. Box fan at the lower vents and open anything up top you have. heat rises.

Consider getting a bigger tent 4x4 is best for the 400-600w m/h HPS or just grow at night with the flaps open ...?

ill help u. u need to invest no more then 25 bucks (thats including shipping) on a 130 cfm pc fan for sodium or if your are going to run MH then get at least 150cfm pc fan to vent both. (halides run hotter) this well keep your cab/tent temps 10-11 degrees above what your room temperature is.
I use a 4in 126cfm pc fan to cool my 400w sodium thats in a hood that has 6in air cooling holes with 6in duct running thru my 3'W 2'd 5' H cab and it runs as described. only thing is you cant use that fan is to vent the hood in combination with a carbon filter. you can but i promise you it will be above the 10-11 degree above ambient; it would be more like 20-30 degrees above. pc dont have good static pressure which is key for pushing/pulling thru filter.

peace

I know you're on a budget now, but I highly recommend a cool tube. I had a 125 watt CFL, and twelve 23 watt CFL's, and my temps were in the 88-90 range with a 4 inch fan blowing air out. Got a 400 watt cooltube setup with a 6 inch inline fan for Christmas. Attached fan to cooltube and is blowing out of tent, 4 inch fan on floor blowing up, and since I didn't have any 6 inch ducting, left other side of cooltube open in tent. Also have 200 watts of CFL on sides, and in the couple days that I have been using it, have yet to go above 83 degrees.

dont use the "duct booster" inline fans. save yourself a bunch and time and hassle and pick up a legit 70+ dollar inline fan (your very best bet..you can even use filter with this) or you can go to newegg.com and specifically grab a 100+cfm pc 12v fan. another great thing to grab is a air cool-able hood

Them fans are shit. Go to ebay and type In 6 inch inline fan that is what you need.

I bet it is in yield...
My last grow was 90% during summer months...central air broke too...still managed to squeeze 20 zips off 6 plants...so idk bout it affecting yield to much...they were all sativa dominant too.....oh and by the way...isn't weed a natural occurring plant in warm climates??? Just saying....as long as it aint 95 in that mofo they should be fine.

Right right I get what your saying. I mean I'm not trying to say its ok...I'm just saying it can be done...that's all...a silica additive helps in not so optimal temperature arrangements... Also so does carbon dioxide...
