cooling my 8x4 tent

hey guys hoping i could get some input as i need a little help cooling my 8x4 tent and the room it is located in and rigging my ventilation set up. right now i have two 6 inch fans.

One fan is pulling hot humid air from inside the tent and emptying it into my bedroom creating high temps and humidity in the room. the bedroom is about a 10x12

the other fan is pulling hot humid air from the bedrrom through the tent and hood cooling the light and running the hot air outside a window. I am currently running 1 600 watt air cooled hood and 1 400 watt reflector wing

where i was hoping for a little input was what do you all think is the best way to maximize my two fans and cool my tent and ultimately the room it is in? one intake one exhaust? 2 exhaust? Only problem is for security reasons i only have one port on the window so i can only run either exhaust or intake through it. if that make sense to you all any inout or help would be greatly appreciated. current temps during 12/12 are 83-87 with roughly 45-50 % humidity

Hey tsmithers, can you pull air from a different room with lower temps, rather than the bedroom where the tent air is being exhausted? I'm guessing you don't have a portable a/c? Do you have central air that you can build a duct off of to cool the tent? And a little off topic, but are you using CO2 since you're not getting fresh air in your tent?

All the best,
FF

frostfarm, nope cant pull any air from oyher rooms and no a/c in my house nor a portable a/c unit also this is not the route im looking to go. yjamls though.. anybody else? somebody mentioned passive intake through from the bedroom into the tent and using the window as exhaust. what do you guys think? if so what should i do with my other fan?

with the temperature inside the tent, it is probably best to move the air through the tent as quickly as possible and not give it much time to heat up. I would use both fans as exhaust one running with ducting to the window and the other duct running close to the window. this will pull the air through the tent quickly not giving it much time to heat up, and dump the warm air to the outside or close to it. This puts negative pressure in the tent, so all that is needed for intake is a light-trapped vent and all the air coming in will be close to your normal room temperature.

You have to have an intake and an exhaust for the cool air to come from and the hot air to go. You only have 1 "port" (what is that?) in the window. If it's to be an exhaust then where is the cool air coming from? The house? If you use it to get cool air then where will the hot air go? You need to find a way to get another stream of air. Does the house use forced air for heating and/or cooling? You can tie directly into that and it will be piped to the outside from another part of the building. Only other option is co2 or led or cfl.

by port i mean i only have one opening for a duct out the window thus i can do either exhaust or intake there. I think I'll use that as exhaust and run the hot air from my hood right out the window. for my intake I am pulling cool air in from my bedroom into the tent using passive intake. what do you guys think of this?

I live in a pretty cool climate and im running my lights at night. I've made it through multiple summers without much of a problem just asking for some input or opinions on the most efficient way to run my two fans... Thanks

The air needs to be taken from somewhere. Your room does not have an infinite supply of new air. If you are blowing air out of the window then either there needs to be air available to replace the volume of air you are trying to exhaust or the fan isn't moving much air. Is your room part of a forced air system? Can you saw out a hole out of the floor or wall?
