Hey!

I'm about to buy 600w hps kit with cool tube for my 3x3 tent and I would some feedback about how hard is it to cool it.

Setup would be:
3x3 tent
Filter> 106 CFM fan > out
148 CFM fan > cool tube(600w hps) > out
Oscillating fan for plants

Room temps are around 65.

Would this setup be enough to keep the tent under 84?

yes that cfm will work just fine . word of advice get an 8 inch over a 6 inch cool tube its worth the extra money. I have been shopping ebay like crazy. can get you the best of the best for 250 dollars. brand new. if you want my advice let me know what brands to buy

Thank you for your reply. Had no idea if the fans will be strong enough to cool my 600w setup.

I'm buying a kit for 184 $. Magnetic ballast, bulb, 5 inch batwing cool tube and rope ratchet.

Dont buy a cooltube buy a real hood it will pay for itself and a 148 cfm fan might have alittle issue cooling a 600 if your ambient temps get high during the summer heat. Dont shoot for 84f, shoot for 78f. Have the fans pull through whatever hood you get not push to.

if you're planning on buying the apollo setup from "low_baller" on amazon i would advise against it. The hood is TRASH, the paint was flaking around the edges and showed rusted metal underneath. Horrible Quality. The ballast runs fine though, bulbs are cheap aswel.

edit: dont get me started on the "reflector" pieces that attach to the cooltube to add some extra reflection. Couldnt even get it on straight and the metal was so flimsy it might aswel be aluminum foil. Hopefully this helps your purchase

Right now I don't have enough money to buy a hood and I will only do 1 grow before the summer. I will SOG.
the kit is from my local growshop and not from internet.
