i have a 3.5" computer CPU fan centered in 6" alum ducting 12' down the duct blowing out just inside of 8 inches from the end of the duct work and am running a 1k light in my cool tube and is cool all but where the center of the arc tube is and even then its not to bad...my intake air on light tube is around 60-65 deg f. its probly a combo of your intake air temp to high on light and the cabinet air temp. try lowering temps.
