Convoy? ..Convoy!

I was told on social media by these "freedom convoy" quacks, back on Jan 10th, that by the end of the month, all stores shelves would be empty and we would be starving over this because "they" control the whole industry lol.

I shopped 5 stores yesterday and ordered pizza. Everything fully stocked. Assured by store managers they have ZERO fear of running out of anything.
Thank you for reassuring everything.
I mean, what would have we done
Without your reassuring words.

Closest for me within 50 miles, there are only two; one at 30 miles and one at 45 miles. But, we're working on changing our situation to better suit our desires. It's great you have that so close, exactly how it should be.
I'm admittedly pretty lucky to live in an agricultural area, which is also close to the ocean.

Delusions of grandeur fuels an impact greater than reality.

There are often CSA's which will deliver a good distance. The one I use has something like 25 pickup locations over two counties. I just happen to live real close to the farm itself.

We're still a bit too rural, to the point that I know nobody out here is using a service that we could piggyback on. Takes me twenty minutes just to take out the trash.

What you’re suggesting people In Michigan,
Indiana, - places other than California- do during the off season/ there’s a winter ya know.
Whatever happened to the Reagan rugged individualist conservatives?

Oh yeah, they are dying out.

From what you are saying their baby boomer replacements aren't even able to feed themselves. But at least they are wearing masks.

Well that's awesome, I'm happy to hear that you don't need these truckers to fulfill your political desires by proxy anymore.
I’m for the truckers,
That’s just what it’s gonna be.
I certainly appreciate of others opinions.
I’d actually like to hear the opposing opinion.
I’m open minded of it.
It takes a shitload of capital to get under a load. It’s actually about $$$.

You mean delivery off a truck??
Jeasus fuckin crist
Can you imagine a farm using trucks? I know, unbelievable! They even use gas powered tractors too!

In seriousness, we're talking about a small box truck for local deliveries vs a semi on interstates. The point of the convey had nothing to do with local deliveries.

All "20,000" of them. (snicker).
Yeah,
All of them regardless.
It’s not easy as it seems.
Even if don’t agree, and trucking I still think the/ respects of the job.
So yeah both sides respect but disagreements are inevitable.
I’m for choice of yourself,
Not being forced to do something.
If it kills me , well then ya can say I told ya so.
If the vax compromise your Amun yrs to come and die, then I say told ya so.
Goes both ways.
