Hi, If i cut the top off my marijuana plant will it still grow grew the sides. I am trying to control my height and I can not harvest the plants yet, but I dont not want the plants growing to high.

Does the top of the plant produce the most yeild?

The plants are about 3ft Master Kush.

thanks,

The part of the plant that will yield the best, is the part that gets the most light intensity. So, the more budsites that you can get in that area of highest intensity, the better your yield will be.

also if you have problems controlling your plants growth, you could look into using bushmaster on your next grow, it will stop the stretch that the plant does in early flower.

the plant that produces the most yield is the plant that is hit by the light most.. lets say im growing a 5 ft plant and the top goes beyond my 600 hps because i was dumb and let it get 6ft tall.. but the sides of the plant.. wow.... they r showing such better results then the top of my bud =( because i cant get any light hitting it.. but im not worried really because all the bud sites that are getting hit r impressing me every day i walk in to talk to my lady's.

.

greenlantern it's mostly bending the stem around the bucket rim, tying it there with twist ties. The branches grow up like colas or individual budcycles growing from a hydro line (the stem). There are a few other simple inexpensive procedures, like drilling holes in the sides of the buckets, all outlined on page 1 of the Grow Lab thread I have linked in below.

If you'd like to try it on a clone please post in the GL thread - I'm developing a grow system for vegetables for developing countries and I'm using my bud grow as the lab. I use people's questions for research for the eBook, Weed Science, that I'll use as a repository for the questions and answers while I develop it into a system. The ebook will be posted for free download, basically the Grow Lab thread organized with an HTML linked index and glossary.

This plant reminds me of Sideshow Bob style clown hair.
