I agree very strongly with elenor.rigby. Tie her up and get her leaning pretty good, but without breaking anything. Let her get re-situated for the next two days or so and make sure she has plenty of water to decrease the stress and help repair tissue. After she turns all of her leaves back to the light and is acclimated to her new lower stance, tighten up the ropes a little and pull her a little closer to the floor. You might have to repeat this a few times or maybe even every week for fast growing strains who have just entered that early to mid-flowering growth spurt, but it causes a lot less stress on the plant than you would if you cut off the top few inches, and it only takes a few valuable hours to recover from the shock instead of a few valuable days. Also an added, but unrelated side benefit is that you still get to have that massive, bonner worthy main cola that would love to grow right on top of that bad bitch if only topping could be avoided...
