Confusion about rockwool

Surfing the web and various forums have given me conflicting answers. Once my seedling's roots show through the bottom of my 1.5 inch rockwool cube, do i need to put them into a bigger cube? or can i just place them into my bubbler with hydroton... I went to the hydrostore to pick up some 4 inch cubes and the guy said that it wasnt necessary. Am i missing something?

I just had my first experience with rockwool recently and its doing great, i put it directly to my dwc.

As soon as I saw roots I put it in my dwc with hydroton. This is her now.

You can't switch cubes once roots are growing out. Just put a layer of grow rocks in your grow basket and put your rockwool then cover with grow rocks

Awesome! thanks for the quick replies. Thats what i thought, i just read that a lot of people start their seeds in small cubes and then place the small cubes inside a bigger cube.

That's a pretty sweet lady you've got in there! How did you get so many bud sites? LST and topping?

I grew from a flowering clone which causes some crazy growth early but once it evened out I super cropped her. I kept doing this for a few weeks. No need to top or fim her if doing this but they will make it larger. The top of the plant is the large bud right above the intake fan.

That's a pretty sweet lady you've got in there! How did you get so many bud sites? LST and topping?
