Please can someone help me out here? I had 5 plants in flower. One grew some nanners and 2 of the other plants, one on each side of it looks like they are going to have seeds. The 2 plants farthest away look to be great except while harvesting I found 2 very healthy mature looking seeds, I'll attach a pic. The other 2 plants that look like they are going to have a lot of seeds don't look like the seeds are even close to being mature. This has me puzzled and I'm not sure what to do. How could the seeds be mature on one plant and not the others? One of the seeded plants is the same strain as the 2 I harvested that I found the 2 good seeds on. Should I go ahead and harvest the seeded plants now too? I really don't want seeds. The last 2 pics are the plant that is the same strain that I found the mature seeds on.

those were pollinated sooner, most likely by herm flowers on the others you haven't seen yet, caused by whatever caused the ones you've seen. Sometimes the herm flowers are deep in the buds. The only way to get beans of different age is to pollinate them at different times. Another way to accidently pollinate plants is stray pollen from commercial or shared herb from a buddy, dispensary, etc. Is this your first run or still in your first year? How long have they been in flower? This late in what's done is done, you can either lose yield by seed or by missing the final swell, personally I'd choose to let them finish. Seeded buds aren't the end of the world especially when you got some frosty stuff, cutting early is however a 100% guarantee you lose potency flavor and yield

This is my second run. Been in 12/12 for 61 days. So do I wait to harvest when the seeds are mature or the trichs are cloudy. Why isn't the plant of the same strain done like the others?

go by the trichs regardless of the seeds. Plants of the same strain can finish at different times, it could have slowed a week or two from whatever stress caused the herm, or other variables could be the cause. Either way don't panic it looks like you got some fire there.

Thanks for your help! I really want to understand all of this. Is there some book or writing that you know of on the topic of herm and/or the way this all happens?

Would it still finish out the same if it didn't get the best light for the last week? I need its space for the next run now because I plan on doing a scrog and they are already getting too tall. I was thinking of moving it off to the side but it will only get the indirect light.

Be sure to clean the hell out that room, any left over pollen can be a repeat.

And I say harvest by trichs.

Hey Tiger sorry to hear about the seeds, I grew outdoors for almost thirty years and I only had two years without seeds. But bc I only grow for personal use it was OK I mean the smoke was still good. But I know how you feel :wall:
Does this about sum it up lol.

Absolutely! This is my second run and second run with one plant turning Hermie. I got some clones mixed up so I'm thinking it is the same strain which was a bag seed that is doing it. Only going to grow from known seeds and clones from now on, although I'm very curious of this new strain that I just created with the 2 mature seeds that I got off of my Chaos. : )

Chaos is a good name for a new strain
