Confused..................what should I do.

Right I have had so much mixed advice and looked online high and low still nothing seems to be the right information.


I have 2 seeds both with tap roots.

They have been buried around 5mm into my soil tap root down.

Have put cling film over the pots to keep the humidity inside.



What next to I put them under my light or leave them in the dark. Many people have said under lights others have said in the dark

Once the seedlings pop up, turn the lights on.

you can leave the light on because once they sprout they will need light

it really, really doesn't matter if you're taking care of them. the reason to put them under light is so you don't have to check on them constantly to see if they've sprouted.

the reason you wouldn't want to put them under light is that it will dry them out quicker. your covering will prevent that problem.

your choice.

I always put them under a light. For me, it keeps the dirt warm and I've always had better success with them sprouting when my grow medium is warm. It's like tucking a baby under a nice warm blanket. Know what I mean?

If they lready have a tap root, they should pop up within 2 days at the most.

You will always have conflicting advice since everyone does things their own way. Either way shouldn't make a difference but I'd leave the lights on.

I still don't understand why people throw their seeds in a glass of water or in between 2 paper towels. Just put them in a small pot, add some water and wait for them to come out. I think the less you handle the plant the less stress it causes, but that is just me.
