Confused...double flowering ???

Hi guys,

I'm a bit confused. Have a plant in flowering which had tiny buds but I suspect that it wasn't getting enough light so right before it should have been harvested I bought another 400W grow light.
The pistils were brown/amber and trichomes milky...until I introduced the new light.
Within days there were new white straight pistils appearing and the bud started growing in size. The older brown pistils are now kind over covered with the new white pistils and bud leaves.

The problem is this plant is now about 5 weeks past it's due date and I don't see many trichomes anymore.

Any ideas ?

Did you harvest any of it before you added more light? Some will chop the upper colas when ready, then leave the lower stuff to mature a bit more and then chop that.

You reckon I should wait until the pistils start turning again ?
I do, I'd wait until you see a bunch of new amber trichomes, I re-flowered a plant that was several weeks into flower. It got budrot and had a lighting mishap (they didn't come on for three days while I was out of town) and I switched the lights back to 18/6, trimmed off all the buds (all of them!) pruned the shit out of her, watched her do some weird vegging at first, then when looking healthy switched back to 12/12. I harvested 46g dry, not great, but better than 0. And the bud is excellent.

That's amazing! Lol I probably would have cried and threw it away.

I agree with keeping her going if she's green. I was expecting to see foxtailing, but she looks...kind of normal lol.

Let it grow. I've seen a couple of plants do similar things. I've seen a couple that grew a couple small buds and go until they look ready and get mad and right before I cut they explode and grow like crazy.

I wouldn't worry so much about the pistils, that happens all to often. You should always harvest by looking at the tricromes. That's number one rule of thumb.

It wasn't done yet and reacted to the newer more intense light by increasing it's growth to use the light...

This will help increase trich production
You will need:
1 bag of Epsom salts
1 box of DARK brown sugar
1 gallon of RO water.
1 gallon opaque bottle....(not clear and brown is best)

Bring 4 cups of the water to a FULL boil.
Add 8 TBL of the Epsom and 1 - 1/2 tsp of the Dark Brown Sugar.
Boil for 5 minutes stirring constantly to ensure the dissolve is complete.
Pour the 4 cups of boiling solution into the remaining water already in the opaque bottle and shake to mix completely.

Use 20ml per gallon at feedings till harvest at your point...
