Confused About The Iolite?

So I bought an iolite the other day and I've tried it and got ripped off of it. The think I'm confused about is I never actually saw any vapor. I never saw vapor when I exhaled, I never saw vapor coming out of it. But I got high.
I tried tobacco with it today and didn't see vapor unless i opened it up.

Is it not a problem that I don't see any vapor?

EDIT: I do have the moisture condensor removed

i have one that came with my extreme q extreme kit, and i never really see much of a vap out of it when i exhale either, nor when i hit it now that i think of it.. i guess it's just the design of it tbh... i get plenty high off of mine as well..

Yeah I don't see any vape at all haha. I was so confused, I remember just being like "Is this thing working?........wait, I'm definitely high"

I've owned my iolite for almost two years and bought one for a friend. They're great personal, portable vapes. You just have to be patient. You won't see the vapor, but the hot air when you inhale is indeed the vape. You should also let it warm up for about 3 or so minutes for her to really start pumping. You can hit it forever as well- it's not done till it's completely brown and crispy.

sometimes the vapor will all get absorbed into your lungs leaving nothing on the exhale... you could try hitting it to your mouth instead of the lungs and exhaling to see if your lungs are absorbing it al

ive tried a few iolites before though and definitely saw vapor clouds... so it could be something with your herb, too wet, not grinded finely enough, not cured.. etc.. any of those could add to the problem

im hitting a volcano and im seeing vapor clouds

i like vapor clouds... volc bags are the best *puffffff* :eyesmoke:

Yeah I bet mine is the fact that I don't have it grinded finely enough since I don't even have a grinder =/ haha. What do you mean by cured?
Thanks for the help guys. It's scary spending $175 bucks on something from a store that doesn't take returns and the fact that going through warranty stuff is a pain in the ass! So I love the peace of mind and reassurement that I'm getting =]

by cured... in the most basic explanation.... means dried... left with no moisture in the material.

It's a growing thing.

I'll cut a plant down, dry it for a week, then put it in jars and open occasionally (cure) for 3 weeks until the bud starts producing ANY good vapor!

Even though it's dry in the first week it just doesn't vape very well until it's been in the jars for 4 weeks.

try leaving a nugget out in an area with a lot of air movement until it's so dry it just crumbles to dust... then load that into your iolite and see if it vapes any better... the smallest amount of moisture makes all the difference...

dont forget your screen ;)
