Confused about lighting.

Those pics I put up were at 4 weeks T's... and they weren't fluffy as some said they'd be..... why screw around with HID what with the cost and heat when the fluro's work just as well... IMO.

Hard for me to say anything by the pics.... am i the only one here that only gets the thumbnail preview size here?? I've had my battles with heat and hps as well. But once we finally shelled out the $$ for a decent aircooled setup its been all good. Now costwise- my 400 watter only costs about $15 a month... got any notes on the fluros? Maybe i'm thinkin too much about lumens... i constantly consider cfl vs. the hps.... but i didn't buy the hps to NOT use it ya know? And at 55000 lumens, 8inches from the plant.... damn, just seems like too many cfls to compare to. Whats the lumen output on the T'5's and 12's?

Ive never heard that the T5s work that well. was thinking about getting some for vegging after harvest but well see. Twisty were you using the red spectrum T5?
I used both.. thats what I like you get two 24" rails and when you want to flower you can use one of each, or whatever mix, plus the 24" run only 24watts each....

I had no luck with a 600w dual spectrum for flowering and went back to a HPS with great success. Feel free to contradict me but I tried it on two grows and ended up disappointed.
i dont understand what you mean.
i said a dual spectrum bulb (H.P.S.).
not mh or cfl's.
(look at the links i posted there is no mh or cfl's involved).
