Day 13 of Veg is down. I am thinking I can flip them over this coming monday or tuesday. So far the progress is great and the plants are incredibly healthy and bushy. 3rd feeding today...

Day 15 of Veg, 3 more days and the flip is on. I must say that I am really impressed with these LEDs so far. I have grown master kush many times before under HID and outdoors and I can tell you that I have never seen them this bushy or extremely green before. Lets see if they hold up and perform this well for the flower cycle!

dude i dont think you have 850w if it only cost you 15$ a month to vegg, I vegg with 600 watts LEDS and my bill is above 80. are you sure it dosent say 90W=400watt HPS? i dont mean to sound like a critic but for something to cost so cheap in your power bill means your actually running alot less or its broken only a few LEDS are actually on.
You can see he mentions that "The 850watts only adds about $15 a month to {his} power bill"... You might be comparing it to your TOTAL power bill a simple mistake but i believe he is still right!

I have a 400watt MH that i run for 18hrs/day and it adds $30 a month more to my power bill... LEDs are proven to be 60-80% more efficient, he mentioned 3w* LEDs the good stuff... Lets take a Look :)

*ie control 400w = $30/mo
therefore 800w = $60/mo
factor in efficiency* $60 x 0.8 = $48 savings
the bill $60 - $48 = $12/mo* :o

i think he is right factoring in the remaining 50watts, 1w diodes and local rates :)

$$YEAH LEDs$$

i am about to undergo my 1st LED Run from seed to flower. I am willing to share my experiences and thoughts with everyone during this particular process...

Peace Out :)

just outa curiosity what was the determining factor in you choice in leds...i was checkin out the isis leds (probly gonna get some myself) and see that there are 2 different types...the isis-1,2,or3 and the fx series (more light wavelengths)

If you're going to bother with this childish math and assumptions, why not just do the math right to begin with? and your figures are not really a control as different areas/seasons/usage make your electrical usage completely different from everyone else.

So he gave us the numbers we need 850w 12 hours a day and .15 cents a kwh. Lets figure the 850w exactly, though his lights may draw more or less. we will also figure 30 days a month.

12 hours a day times 30 days equals 360 on hours per month. 360 times 850 watts(or .85 kwh) equals 306 kwh. 306 kwh times .15 cents/kwh equals 45$

850w is 850w, led or hid or floro. the math isn't that hard

Under typical circumstances I am a hardcore HID guy, although in the back of my stubborn mind I know it only makes sense that LED would be a better solution. So I have been watching the lights progress over the past 3 or 4 years from the ufo onward. My good pal and fellow grower has been wasting his money whenever something new comes out which provided quite a bit of laughter for me over the years. But then he got these lights and I was actually impressed with what they did... so I waited a year and took the plunge and bought the updated ISIS and although I'm still skeptical as to the final outcome, I must admit that thus far I am overly impressed with what is happening. But lets watch what unfolds with this grow, tomorrow we flip to 12/12 and this is where it all counts :)
