I've been running a closed loop system for almost 6 months now, my problem is or at least I think there is a problem with my butane refrigerant tank being contaminated with evaporating butane back into tank. My process is as follows:
Vac entire system to remove all air after packing 2" x 36" column with trim. I then put the base of the extractor into a 5 gallon bucket witch has 5 or so inches of dry ice in it. I then open valve on refrigerant tank to introduce butane to system. After all butane has left refrig tank I close valve on top and move my steel braided hose to the valve on the bottom tank of system. Now I place refrig tank in the dry ice and then place extractor base in warm to hot water in a 5 gallon bucket. What I've notice I there is some thc oil entering the refrig tank with butane, when it should remain in the bottom of extractor. Does anyone have a remedy for this issue?
