Hey guys. I have a huge report to finish tonight any help will be truly helpful. My computer is turning off by itself immediately or at some point before the operating system loads. I hear no beep. Heres the funny part: I let the comp sit for 30 mins and it will load the diagnosis repair screen. After it "repairs itself" it will ask me to restart. When I restart it, it will shut off at the windows loading screen. If I try to turn the comp on immediately after that, the comp shuts off immediately. I have to wait 20+ mins to turn it back on for it to go to the diagnosis repair screen except it will do the same thing. And when I select start computer without repair it stays stuck at the windows loading screen. Please help.

Take anything connected to a usb port out, take out any CD in your drives. Its possible your bios is trying to boot to a system peripheral as opposed to your hard drive.

If you are not getting the initial beep, it likely means your bios has been reconfigured or has been "fried" or flashed.

First try what I said at first. If nothing... try holding doing (i think) F5 right as you turn the computer on... that should take you to bios setup. From there, can you take a picture and post it. I can help you once youre in the bios.

hi , is itr a laptop of a desktop for a start ???
if laptop it might be an overheating problem n desktop cud be a hardware malfunction ,,without having it infront of me im afraid im not much help
am trying to think what could be causing it to do this .............
try unplugging your system from the mains , or pulling battery out for laptop so it has no power source ...... press and hold the power button for 90 seconds (clears any static charge in the system ,,,works on both laptop and desktop) if your still having problems try reinstalling the operating system as it could be a bug ,if its a desktop ,unplug everything ,whip the side panel off and make sure everything is ok inside ie make sure nothings hangin half off or not connected properly ..........and when u boot up press the hotkey to take u to your boot menu (will be f2,f8,f11,f12 or esc,or delete button on ur keyboard depending on what system ur on ) and start the boot menu ,and see if you can repair from there , or try and start in safe mode ,usually u get the option before the operating system kicks in ,, ie where it says start windows normally ,start with last know good configuration
see if any of the above work n let me know if u have anymore problems mate ,,happy to help the best i can

Tried disconnecting and still same thing. Going to wait 5 minutes to try the bios run. Ill take pictures. Another thing is Ive had this problem for 3 months thats why I never turned off my computer once I got past the windows loading screen. It would always do this if I restarted the comp and I would have to always scan for repairs for it to work but not anymore. Which is weird because I had the same connections during this whole time too. So for it to not load at all now, makes it working in the past strange.

The fan is running just fine and starts off loud for 1 second and then settles like normal. The CPU is not hot at all either. Beeping stopped a long time ago but it would still load windows. And all the plugs have been the same.

it could still be an overheating issue as cpu's heat up immensely fast , and also it could be some internal connection like u get on xbox when u get rrod , so double screwed ..pics needed

ok sounds like an internal malfunction ,, internal malfunctions can cause system instability , hence u beeing asked to scan for repairs ... try getting a windows disc and reinstalling , if that fails its a component problem at the root of the problem

and if you can try and post a video ,, a video would be much more informative because i would be able to see what appears on screen before it dies

how much was your system in total something like that in the uk (goin on ur hardware specs i can see)would cost at least 2grand mb more ,, who's it made by ,,do they have a boot disc for it (should have been sold with 1 if you bought it new)

I probably paid around 1600 in total, built it myself. Asus MB and Bulldozer AMD Chip. Ill make a video. I have the windows cd except, I dont want to lose all my documents.

Ill do a diagnosis repair and see what it says. Last time it said it failed because of a boot disk error

I would think that would be a heat issue then. Try re-seating the CPU and applying new thermal paste. If it's not that, I would think it would be a powersupply or motherboard issue. Any bulged capacitors near the cpu?

I hope its not the CPU over heating because the CPU is just fine and cool. Powersupply is clean and connected. The power stays on for weeks and weeks when it gets past the windows loading screen. It wont get past it this time though
