The drawbacks of starting with clones can prove to make the entire growing experience a wasted effort. Clones will incorporate any diseases, pests, and genetic weaknesses of the mother plant into your crop.
Also, clones shipped through the mail will arrive in a state of shock, adding two to three weeks to your growing process, if the plants survive. It could be argued that the time lost in recovery equals the time to sprout your own seeds and grow them to the same stage as mail-order plants.

My cloning of my 2 strains commenced almost 30 years ago. They are just fine.

Your post needs qualifying because as a generalization it is a diservice to the thread.

Passing a disease or bugs is a problem with the source, not the process. The genetics part is no different than seeds.

Bullshit.

Isolate and pest eradicaton before introduction to the crop. Once a mom is deemed clean and worthy you'll have a clean crop. And all the clones you want. I would not be suprised if I took around 1000+ clones from my GSC cut.

Bad info on the mail shock. There is a way to ship without causing shock.. Took us a bit to figgure it out, but it can be done. And I'm talking some far distances. And no I'm not talking about the clone shippers. IF slow restart is your reality. Sure.. I can believe that. I have 2 out of 15 I just got in that have that. But the others have taken off and I have at least 30 or so cuts off of them in 1 month.
