- The following link is a local shop and I'm interested in peoples thoughts. Additionally any recommendations for lights would be appreciated.

htg is a bs company. I inquired about standard info that anyone with a reasonable knowledge of leds would want answers to and was told it's proprietary. Run don't walk from these carpetbaggers
Commercial scale leds is a huge upfront investment. Most of the commercial stuff lacks proper balance of spectrums.
Soon Neutral Whites will replace individual R/B/G
A few DIYers on IC are getting impressive results and greater coverage with NWs.
I would contract with a DIYer to build a few NW fixtures as a test

There's a commercial grow video put out by prosource floating around somewhere. Right now, I'd recommed checking out lumigrow as they just came out with some new products and have an option to lease. They love to talk to growers too about designing gardens and greenhouses.

Well depending on your funds your options are limited for commercial growing
these are my picks and my opinion of viable commercial options:

Working with about 50,000 sq' and looking to cultivate around 10 strains. Prefer quality over quantity so if spending more on lights is what is necessary then thats how I would go. Air control is handled including humidity and temperature regulation. As for what the % humidity and degree of temperature any info would be greatly appreciated!
Additionally, does this mean the lights would need have adjustable Wattages? I see some lights as high as 900W, but these usually have fans?
I understand not having fans in the lights is ideal! For the purposes of the Build Out, using one type of light for both Veg and Flowing is required, any ideas?

I think that fanned heatsinks are not a good idea in a commercial environment.....if they fail how are going to notice(w large grow room noise) it before the whole panel becomes compromised???..........yeah using one type of panel for veg/ flower is ideal, but remember that mj's veg requirements are lower than flower, so look into a dimmable driver(RHINOGROW has it) to save electrical cost and lengthens the leds working lifetime significantly.......good luck

They're actually ~170W. They compare them to a 400W HPS. Tricky names but they are good looking lights. I like all of the lights Psuagro mentioned.

yeah puff's right....it's actual draw is 172watts with the driver(i think) but they say it's comparable to a 400w hid( don't like these bullshit comparisons)...yet to be seen if that's so........but they are using top notch Osram leds and the 80 degree diodes are the newest led tech 3w Oslon's.....check fluffhead's thread to see them in action...good luck

With 25k sq ft.+ of growing area, these really are the least amount of hassle and with that big of an order, I'm sure that they will engineer the whole thing and make custom panels for you if necessary.
Be aware that a 3x3 panel is somewhere north of $1,000 the last time I checked.
The other option is to build the panels or hire someone to build the panels to your spec. The state of the industry is that the manufacturers are geared to aquariums and small grows not to a warehouse.

what's to worry if you have lifetime warranty, if the panels fails or starts to fade, you will notice, send it back to the company for a new one, Same goes for an usual HID system, you got to inspect everything all the time, change bulbs when needed ... You only need more money to get it going but it has more stealth potential

50K sq ft! And all LED? Seriously you're kidding right? If there is a 500 sq ft LED grow going somewhere maybe someone here can point it to us and show me the error of my ways.
Check out the Inda-Gro thread where I just posted up pics of a 500 sq ft room @ day 12 of flower. Unless you're simply hell bent on spending 2X or more money on an LED run for some reason you ain't gettin those footprints or results. And if you do have that kind of coin to drop on a 50K sq ft LED grow how about adopting me? I'm very low maintenance.

I know if I had an operation that large with that much $ invested init, I wouldn't be posting about it either. I think thats the main reason hardly anyone sees operations that large floating around cyberspace.

Ahhh Puff. I knew I could count on you! Honestly can say that is the first major LED grow video I've ever seen.
Checked out the link and this is a May 2011 video which states in the comments: 'the core footprint at 12"s over the canopy is 2'x2'...There is a total footprint of 3'x3', but those plants outside the 2'x2' cone will get smaller yield.'
If that video represents the crop development and intro cost isn't limiting the decision than these should be going all over. Still an apples and oranges debate but at comparable wattage I'd do a side by side with a Pro-200-PAR and cover twice the area. Final yields to be determined but but on a cost per meter squared a commercial LED grow would not even be close to what the Inda-Gro set up would bring home.
