No shit., We have agreement here. Remember when Diesel was lower than Gas. Don't you believe this will drive a lot of independent truckers out of business. As soon as people started buying diesel cars, the price started up untill it passed gas and is still rising, criminal I say, criminal. Price controls and rationing is what is needed. They're advertising on TV if you buy a new Dodge, they will guarantee you 2.99 a gal. gas for 2 years. I remember then that price was considered outrageous. I bought gas in Juarez in 1960 for 19 cents a gallon. My isn't progress a wonderful thing. Hey Redd, find a positive in this gas price scenario.
I wish I had the answer. The Oil companies run the government, especially with oil men in the white house.Honestly what can we do? I've ceased my joyriding pastimes to an almost nonexistent. I do not drive unless its a priority. Only thing left to do is buy a damn scooter that gets 50 miles to the gallon and pretend I live in Thailand or something.
Gas was 19 cents down the road from where I lived durring a gas war in 64 or 65. in mexico in 81 the peso was 43 to a dollar I had just gotten gas and I was very high and I tryed to give this guy 1000 peso note a few times but he kept pointing to a 100 peso note when I looked at the pump and worked out the numbers it came up to 19 cents a gal. the guy was just honest. No shit., We have agreement here. Are you sure you are smoking weed, may?................ ~LOL~ That was funny thoughI find it a positive that some will not have the money to drink AND drive so they will need to choose, and people will drive less so traffic will be way down, with these things just think of the lives that this will save.
Will not the saving of all these lives make you happy med?
Now tell me that your not happy to pay such a small sum that will end up saving all of these lives.
This is pretty abstract reasoning. Pretty much says fuck the poor as the rich can afford any price. Im guessing if you're rich, then 10.00 a gallon would be nice. Get rid of a lot of drivers and make your commute that more pleasant.Gas was 19 cents down the road from where I lived durring a gas war in 64 or 65. in mexico in 81 the peso was 43 to a dollar I had just gotten gas and I was very high and I tryed to give this guy 1000 peso note a few times but he kept pointing to a 100 peso note when I looked at the pump and worked out the numbers it came up to 19 cents a gal. the guy was just honest.

One of my employees went without propane for 2 months because he couldn't afford it. He and his family had to take cold showers and went without heat. Another one of my employees has a 60 mile round trip commute and is now spending every other week living w/ a fellow employee here in town because he can't afford his commute anymore.May, you do know that some people are going without food because fuel oil is so expensive. You do know that the rise is oil prices have put many families in jeopardy of losing their homes(if they didn't foreclose already) and increasing their credit card debts because of oil prices?
You do know that this is a serious problem and is affecting many peoples life styles besides taking a break from taking a joy ride and picking up ice cream or going out for a drink.
Yep, its not a joke. I wonder how much welfare and food stamps are going to go up if we don't get another alternative fuel source and gas prices stay high. One of my employees went without propane for 2 months because he couldn't afford it. What you really have to consider is that now it takes more money to transport product, and that money has to be compensated via raising the price of the product you were transporting to stay on the profit margin. So your 70cent bananas will be 99cents now. Everything will go up in price, keeping pace with the current gas prices. Its a serious problem and an immediate solution is necessary.Yep, its not a joke. And yet the truck driver's per diem and mileage pay will remain the same. What you really have to consider is that now it takes more money to transport product, and that money has to be compensated via raising the price of the product you were transporting to stay on the profit margin. I haven't seen you for a little bit Zen. Yes, of course the over exorbitant price of fuel is inflating the cost of most every commodity. I didn't think I have to mention that since I'm surrounded by the most intelligent gentlemen on RIUWhat you really have to consider is that now it takes more money to transport product, and that money has to be compensated via raising the price of the product you were transporting to stay on the profit margin.
