You're doing pretty damn well for yourself.
I am diggin your choices of equip, nutes, and system.
And I am a big believer in running a chiller when doing DWC so that was a good move.

I haven't run DWC in probably 5+ years but when I was 5.5 was my initial target PH and I let that drift up to 5.8.
I see H&G's DWC feed chart recommends 5.6-5.8 range.

When I first started I was overwhelmed by all the info and opinions available, many times very contradictory opinions, because many things work to grow this amazing plant.
Take it all in and try to filter out 95% of it. ;)

Thanks for sharing. :weed:

Thanks a lot, going off now and will keep off till tomor at 7 pm. im not sure that will help my problem but it will certainly help temps and electric bill a little.

I looked at buds today and I'm starting to see a lot of this. (See pic) Leaves are tight and appear closing.

Parameters are all good roots look great I think I'm to close to light and unsure what I can do about it.

Ideas? Thoughts?

This is also why I flower at night. Temps and cost. For me daytime peak electricity rates are almost double what night offpeak rates are.

Could definitely be heat stress or calmag deficiency I think.
Hopefully some greenthumbs chime in what they think.

If she is too close to the light you can try bending her over, tying her down. I've had to do that on occasion.

You'll figure it out and she'll be fine. :)

Ok. Im officially cooking at night, 7 pm to 7 am.

ppm 850
ph 5.9
water 68-72
room will be 78 ish with airflow under and over plants.

I realize my light is to close I just don't know that I can do anything about it at this point, I though about turning down as it's adjustable from 600-1150 I'm not sure that's a solid idea or not????

I tied down the best I could but I'm struggling seems the stretch towards light has stopped so hopefully now comes the fatness.

Thoughts? And super thanks for all the advice.

So this is where I'm at. I ran into some problems, think I have those figured out (heat and hot res) Problem area very helpful

My buddy is giving me a couple of these lights I'm thinking of finishing the grow with them as the plants are just to close to Gavita. I know 2 of them seems overkill but I'm gonna space plants better and add a few more into cycle.

Thoughts?

Will plants recover from ram horning and canoeing? Or am I wasting my time they seem to be taking their sweet ass time.

Thoughts, feedback, advise, much appreciated.

High WaterDog

Those leaves will stay messed up but the plants will finish fine. I would just chop the tallest and most damaged off or roll the stems until they get soft and the tops fall over. I do that lots of times and those tops grow great colas.

Nice friend to drop 3G worth of lights in your lap. Loaners? :)

Yes loaners, I'm in the process of deciding which lights to buy. I'd like to set up a space that's 6' x 15' 8" to flower, I have 6' x 14" to veg in.

For now I'm just going crazy cause my girls look like crap very frustrated.

I set the new lights up and realize they do not have the spread the Gavita had and I'm going to have to change the direction I have them running tough job alone but I'll manage

Thoughts on plants? I switched on June 11th, do they seem small or not very far along? Maybe the ppm stunted the flower a bit?

Thanks alot

Your plants seem very dark green but that may just be the lighting. Have you got something to take pics with when the grow lights are out? Flash pics generally show true colour. I use a 20mp digi cam that has a manual white balance setting so I can adjust for better colour under any light. Flash pics in the dark really make the hairs and sugar 'pop' too.

Which specific H&G nutes are you using and how close do you follow the nutrient chart? Their website jammed up my browser bad so didn't make it to the calculator. At this stage you should be cutting back on the N some and hopefully you've given them bud booster of some kind. I loves my Big Bud for that! :)

Don't blow tons of money on new tech lights. Spend $250 or so on a Light Rail®, made in Colorado. If that DE is moving back and forth over the canopy it can be closer without cooking the tops. I bought one a couple years ago and can cover an 8x4 space with one 1000W. I'd like to get two 600s to do a better job but got a couple of 1000W rigs so use them. Two 600w Hortilux back to back on the rail would be perfect. 50% more light for 20% more power cost. The rail only uses 9w.

Yea man thank you.

So I switched my lights coverage is a bit better, man that Gavita threw the light. These have more of a cone pattern. Probably overkill having 2 but they were free.

I was crawling around cleaning and saw this? Hermie? Lots of bud on upper plant and its the only plant I could find it on. the brownish is just a dried up peace from an earlier trim job.

Plants look healthier today than they did a few days ago. I believe.

Remember it was bag seed from great smoke that hermied so its not a surprise.

Buddy that gave me the light gave me some known seeds. AK47, LSD, WHITE WIDOW and BUBBLE GUM. Ive decided to pop the LSD and BUBBLE GUM

Ill take a few in the morning when lights go out I'm always a little crazy about light discipline so Ive yet to do that. I over did the nuts a bit. I'm using Megacrop and their bloom booster.

The light rail is a great idea. We'll see how this LEDS act but I'm thinking that Gavita is more awesome the longer I look at these.

Thanks a lot.

took these after lights out. Not sure if they show anything I already didnt know. Buds starting to pack out a bit more. Pretty sure the one plant hermied

So the new lights are way, way cooler, I actually shut off AC gonna see how room feels in the morning.

So I have some more stupid Questions?

Could I benefit from C02 at this point?

Why change out res? My ppm seems to stay pretty consistent, I do have to add which I stay ahead of cause res is larger than I need. does he formula lose is punch even though the ppm stays the same?

When will I know if this strain is worth the expense of the grow? I realize I screwed it up a bit but using it all as a learning experience and hopefully this stuff is good stuff.

Anyone?

Thanks

CO2 isn't going to do much unless you can trap it in there. As long as you have regular air exchanges going on the plants will do fine. Best time to use CO2 is when the space is right full of plants during later veg and the stretch when they go thru a huge growth spurt. The room needs to be sealed up using A/C to keep the temps and humidity where you want it. And you want it warm when you use CO2 to get the best benefit from it. ~85F

I can't tell from your pics if you got a hermie there or not but if you find balls or 'nanners and there's only a few just pick them off.

No telling how the pot will turn out but if the seeds came from good pot then your buds should be good too. Bag seed is always a bit of a crap shoot but better than nothing.

:peace:

So I noticed a difference in flowers?? or I'm crazy?

See the difference in these 2 flowers? Does that means ones a male? or am I panicking again for nothing. lol

PH 5.8
PPM 810
Water temp 69

Gauge shows the other I'm thinking I might need to invest in a dehumidifier damn I let these plants get big.

Thanks alot

Can't really tell but pic2 looks like there may be male flowers on the bud in the lower left of the pic.

With hermies you can have male and female flowers on the same bud. Any rounder shaped calyxes that don't have white hairs growing out are most likely male flowers. They generally fatten right up and turn yellow/tan just before they bust open and dump their pollen

Whats should I do, Where can I find better pics to confirm. Lights be on in an hour so I need to decide what to do with the room. I have 6 rooted cutting from very plant as that nee disposed of if ruined.

Thanks a lot man?
