personally, i think $50/test is too high, keeps too many potential clients away. FS was only charging $35/test and that was pushing it (in my opinion). of course, i don't know what the backend costs are, so maybe they are making little margin @ $50. but the wallmart model works - lower prices closer to the margin will bring in more shoppers who buy more, and increase profits by shear force of sales. my 2 cents.
besides, the #s are only semi-useful since you will see differing results from top to bottom, one plant to the next. the #s should be a generalization of what that plant has done. I love it when someone says "such and such tested at 23% THC, 1%CBD, etc" ..... give me a bud from another cloned plant finished of the same, or, from another budsite on the same plant, and it will have different results. now, take 20 samples from the same given plant and run the averages. now you have a better idea, but it's still not going to be the same on the next plant run because of environmental and plant life factors. so a homebrew THC kit IMO, is just about as accurate as a lab will ever get concerning this product. and unless you are a Dispensary, who cares what the actual true # is? as long as i have a good idea of what the ratios are
