Collecting Male Pollen

I have kept my best male for pollen and finally a few of the balls has just opened. I really know now what "Banannas" Now mean.

I am just unsure weather to collect now or wait till more balls open on plant as I want a lot of pollen, could anyone advise me on the best tecniques for harvesting pollen.

I am also around about about 16 days into flowering and hoping not to go on much longer, so hoping to get pollen soon as possible.

Just collect pollen from the ones that have started to open. You can collect pollen over several days. Thats what I did anyways. Everyday when I checked the plant I whould see if any started to open. If so UI would cut them off and put them into a glass jar. I did this over a couple of weeks time. You don't need to collect it all in one shot.

ok thx, somebody told me that moisture can mess up pollen is that true?

was wondering if i put in a jar it wont start releasing moisture would it..

because I wasn't sure if you are supposed to dry pollen or just store pollen straight away...

but i think i will just snip of balls and put them in a glass jar as u suggested.
