Not at all, I think it is a bummer that it was used to divide people with it being hammered with propaganda trolling by the Russians.
I was just putting it in there for context, for the people that try to pretend the Russians attacking our democracy for Trump's re-election campaign is some conspiracy and not because Trump admitted he fired Comey because of the 'Russian thing', but then don't understand why Kaepernick was doing that was to help us not get to where we are today.
Sorry if it came off like I was attacking you for posting it, I wasn't.
It's not as if I thought it an attack, I just didn't understand and put my concern into my question
From this example that you posted, we can't really do anything to stop the propagandists from taking our honest words and trying to use them for other purposes.
It is true that Trump's hardcore supporters will froth at the mouth over Kaepernick's peaceful protest. That's what happens. The message, I think, is that we have to be honest and work hard at communicating well. If we do that then the people we are trying to reach can hear it. Maybe over time, a few who disagree eventually get the message. Most of us are in the middle and we are trying to learn and understand. Trump's message was "those son of a bitches", vs a quiet athlete taking a knee.
