Cold temp question.

So...I'm working out of a friends home, and the temps are getting pretty low at nights. The memory on the t-stat says it has been getting down to 50F when lights are off. I'm not around to watch the temp much, this was only an experiment grow. I now added a heat source, and we're in week 6 of bloom. Temps are good now.

Questions are :
How much will this effect the crop?

if there was any problems you would see it right away. Plants die when cold and there isnt any mistaking that, it isnt something going to take days to happen, you wake up and they are dead.

...they actually look really healthy, but not quite full as normal to be in week 6. I have no problem with letting them bloom longer, and fiqured that was going to be the outcome. But, I'm still wondering, can I expect a normal yield? Common sense tells me no, but...I've never fought the cold, so....just wanting some experienced opinions.

Yeh to get full yield you would need like 6 more weeks of flowering but they will be done in three or 4 weeks under good conditions. Therefore the yield should theoretically be less. That being said you never know they may blow up like crazy when they get good conditions. Don't forget the molasses!

Cold nights will stunt them...

I live in AK... I run heaters in my op 10 months of the year...

50s is too low... it WILL hurt your yield...

it will not kill the plants... nor will it make them do anything weird...

They will just not develop to their full potential...

REMEDY THIS ASAP...

Good Luck...

yeh i installed a radiator for through the night and left it on too high and killed around 2 of my plants.others survived but what do u suggest as a heat source?ive been in flowering now for around 3 weeks and they arent showing sex yet i have pics i can show u.growing with 5 cfls and a flourescent light.....would the cold be the factor of it not showing sex yet?

I use a propane heater with a thermostat... like this one... (do a search for vent free heaters)

As for the no sex in 3 weeks of flowering... how old were the plants when you switched...???

It could be the cold or it could be simply that they are too young...

my growspace is about 4 foot square and 6ft tall i dont think i could find anything small enough to keep it warm enough <heaters is just a risk of a fire in the place im growing> but im sure i have to find something otherwise wont have anything than just shivering plants.
