Cola fell down.

So, I am about a week away from harvesting (mostly cloudy, smattering of amber) and I slightly moved one of my pots and a large cola slowly just bent (not broken or snapped) over.

Would the suggest be to:

Leave it for the week.
Harvest it now.
or
Add another bamboo stick and try to stand it up.???

I would have already done the third as I have many times in the past, but I am tightly packed this grow and figured if I started moving more things around I would have even more problems. So maybe the question is cut or leave it.

Thanks. It bent pretty much right below the start of the cola so splinting would be difficult. For now, I took a pipe cleaner and grabbed a fan leaf stem and stood it up attaching it to a neighboring higher bamboo. Just don't want to miss any ripening. We'll see how it gets through the day and maybe just cut tonight. Its a pretty nice cola so it would be a big "sample". ;)

Tried capturing things in the dark and at least on my phone the bend is hard to see...maybe larger on a computer you can see a green pipe cleaner about a 1/3 of the way from the right at the bottom...the bend just above that.

If it didnt break ofcourse use a piece of bamboo staked into the pot and tie the cola to it. Use 3 in a triangle pattern if you have to, there pennies each why would you not let her fatten up fully? Unless you really just want to sample

My worry was that it was very little jostling that caused this one to reach its bending point ...there are 2+ other colas on that plant and I did not want to make things worse by over-handling. I was able to pull it up in much the way you suggested...with a couple connection points. Orange on side, Tan up top going to another plants bamboo. So I could do it with only messing with the damaged one. I'm with you.

That gravity is a bitch aint it! Just keep tyeing them up, needing crutches is a good thing with these gals

Yep. ;) Feel a bit stupid though as I have been growing for almost 6 years and I just discovered that tying onto a fan leaf stem at this point is so much easier and safer than trying to grab and attach to the main stem.
