every time you watered, bit of the coffeegrounds got dissolved into the soil. he´s talking about making the entire medium coffeegrounds, that would be way too acidic and also too strong.

I would say coffe grounds work good as an addition, but as a media by itself you mught as well have a bonfire with your plants leave's

Yep. Worms in the soil are beneficial due to added aeration and worm castings but do not dump synthetic nutes or large amounts of acids in your soil. Worms will only thrive in an organic environment. Happy growing

I saved my plants with coffee grounds. Had a bad iron deficiency, which I discovered was due to high Ph, so I top dressed with coffee and it worked like a charm.

In my relatively new house i killed 15 seedlings the first 3 months. My tapwater has a ph of 8. I tried using vinegar without result. I also used limestone in the soil. But it was still too high ph.

so i thought... if coffe grounds are acidic.. maybe it could balance my alkaline water?
