Coco vs Soil medium for a First Timer?

Hey relatively new grower here, I'll be setting up a 2x4 (80cm x 80cm x 180cm) Tent with ViparSpectra P2000 200W lights. I'm thinking of going with an auto flowering strain but I'm still unsure about that. My question is which would be a better medium for a beginner soil or coco? Could I grow 2 plants in the same tent 1 with soil and 1 with coco without any complications? (Will having different mediums in the same area affect the other lol) Also should I consider just growing a regular photoperiod plant? Someone else recommended them over auto flowering, but I thought auto was easier for a beginner? Slowly it's all coming together haha

I grow in coco coir and would not recommend it for your first grow. I would go with soil first to get your feet wet and get a feel for growing. After you get some experience and learn how to keep plants alive then I would try coco. Soil Is much more forgiving than soil and leaves you more room for error which all new growers make including myself. That is just my 2 cents. Good luck with what ever you choose and happy Growing.

If you want to grow a plant in soil and a plant In coco that's fine. You will need nutrients for the coco plant almost from the start and not for the soil plant until later and probably different nutrient for each plant.

If you want to grow autos then fine, only benefit I can see is you can have different plants at different stages .
You will though always be running lights on for at least 18h a day.
If you run photoperiods all your plants will be either in veg or in flower and roughly cut at similar times.

Honestly don't know what all the beef about coco is.
It's not difficult
