Coco Tek

First time grower here and was talking to a guy in the local hydro shop today and he suggested using CocoTek and these little fabric pouches to go into the net pots instead of the pellets and rockwool. He said the pouches were designed to let the roots grow through the fabric while still holding the Coctek, Anyone have any experience with these. Thanks for your help

If you are a first time hydro grower, I would leave the cocotek alone and follow the tried and true methods here in RIU.

If you are a dirt grower, the cocoteck might be of value.

Overall, I think you were being sold something you don't need or know how to use....
