Hiya folks, I'm Feroce. I've been hanging around here for a couple of years posting on this and that, but my one attempt at a grow journal failed miserably, due my laziness primarily. I maintain a thread over at Opengrow, but have always avoided maintaining more than one thread...but now I have no excuse, as I retired from making airplanes yesterday and now have all the time in the world
I grow only for stash and getting my friends really really high, so I keep my operation on the small size. I have a 10 square foot area with a T5 light for seedlings and clones, a somewhat larger area for keeping mothers under a 400w MH in an open-wing reflector, with enough space to keep up to six mothers, and a 54" x 54" flowering tent with a Growzilla dual-bulb hood. I'm running a Digilux 600w MH and a 400w Lumatek HPS currently, as I feel that this gives me better results than running straight HPS.
I grow in hempy buckets using coco fiber as the medium. I like using coco because it works very well indeed once you learn it's idiosyncrasies, it's reusable, and it's easily disposed of in my outdoor garden when I'm done with it. I like using hempy buckets because I can water them and forget them for a few days if necessary, ideal for someone as lazy as I am.
I use a very simple nute regime, CNS17 Grow (3-1-2) until halfway into flowering, then flip to Ripe (1-5-4) with a big initial dose, then gradually taper off to a clear water flush at the finish. The only other additive I use is Protekt during veg.
Currently running some gear from Sannies Shop, and indeed, most of my genetics are from Sannies...I have four Anesthesia and three Sugar Punch clones in flower right now, with two of the Anesthesia clones @ eight weeks, two of the Sugar Punch @ six weeks, and the rest @ four weeks. I have a single Selene plant, unsexed as yet, and am popping more beans...one each Afghan x NYCD, ChemD x Blueberry, and The Mask should be coming up soon, and I just put five HLT beans into the paper towels today...HLT is a result of some pollen-chucking, it's Herijuana x Lemon Thai. The keeper search goes on
