Question coco growers......I have a few plants in Coco and one in soil. They were all trasplanted into 3 gallon bags 3 days ago.....They were all sort of light in color, but I just noticed now that the one in soil is a darker, healthier green and the leaves are all perked up and my plants in coco are now growing leaves but they are much lighter....

I fed the coco some botanicare PBP before the transplant to give the medium some nutes but I haven't given any since because the medium is still moist.

Should I be worried??

Is that a coco specific nute ?
Coco needs special nutes.

I use canna coco with canna coco nutes full range and i've noticed a bit of yellowing with some of the leaves top & bottom. try adding some Cal mag plus or something with Calcium in it. (u can use Epsom salts, make sure u find out how to mix or u might over fert them)

nutrifield coco is ph and cal/mag buffered. the trichoderma are there to defend against harmful organisms entering the root zone. dont use chlorinated water on this coco or it will kill the friendlies(let tap/scheme water sit 48hrs before using). I am using canna coco a/b. I do seem to have a potasium deficiency wich i will try to rectify with canadian xpress superior potash. just the very tops of the flowers are seriously laking some chlorophyl. i will try some cal/mag next if the potash doesn't fix it. this is my first coco grow and one thing i noticed is the roots are snow white.

p.s. My next grow was going to be my first coco grow but this six foot mama got pot bound in hydroton and flooded my room so I transplanted Her 2 weeks into flower. I tied her upfrom a rafter, dropped the pot beneath her, stuck a 30L pot under her(half filled with coco) absolutely drenched the root sysyem in rhizotonic and then filled the rest with coco and She never missed a beat. I post sum pics as soon as my camera charges. Peace bros

So does the black gold brand coco blend count? if so I've been keeping my waterings at 5.9 also added some epson salt and lime to the blend. It seemed to stop the yellowing. I use alaska fish fert both veg and bloom and add mollasses and super thrive between feedings. I think the tip I got when I went to the coco blend was treat it like a hydro set up. I still suck with hydro but seem to be doing ok with the blend.

I use nutrifield Coco with special Part A & Part B. One tip for any1 is to use only half strength nutrients for the 1st month or so, as the Coco is so rich that you will get nute burn otherwise - even with the special chems.
Only bitchin thing is replacing this shit every grow - unlike clay balls that you wash and reuse..
Check out my signature grow, that is a 50/50 mix of coco and perlite.

I would assume any coco that has been flushed well to remove salts would be fine. I also took a couple of clones and raised them from the start in coco and I am fucking blown away by the rapid root development. I have'nt seen anything like it. :eyesmoke:

what are you flushing with? if you are using straight water then that might be your problem. if you are going to flush just use a light amount of nutes, like .5ml of the A-B per liter. straight water strips the NPK off that has bonded to the coco. therefore creating havoc in your pot like nute lockout, deficiencies, etc.

PEACE!!!
