I know this is a cheap way of cheeking moister level but does it work and have you ever tried? what # should I water? what # is over watered?
I'm using b-cuzz coir 60% perlite 40%

also check out journal girls are growing 2inch to 1.+ a day they are doing great and happy for just being transplanted on 10-21-09
i wouldnt rely on that meter... the best way to know when to water is by picking the pot up right after u water and get a feel for its weight... then when the pot has lost close to half its weight, it is ready to be watered again.... this is the proper method for watering coco.

I am using the botanicare cocogro. I like it as much as canna. Anyone else using this?

COCOGRO ™ has a very low salt content that is available in 34 ”double-sieved long fibers to reduce dust and give ample space within the mix. COCOGRO ™ has excellent drainage properties and can be used over a longer period of time than coir fiber with shorter fibers. With longer fibers and reduced dust, growers will experience an optimal air to water ratio, which is vital for strong root development. COCOGRO ™ is unique because it is not chemically treated like other coir fibers on the market. COCOGRO ™ is a superior coir fiber because it is aged a minimum of 18 months and has finished its decomposition stage. In addition, COCOGRO ™ is exposed to rain water from at least three monsoon seasons, which naturally washes away harmful salts out of the final product. Most other coir fibers are only 4 to 5 months old and have excessive potassium and salts and thus have to be chemically treated.
COCOGRO ™ is available in these sizes:

42.4 liter/1.5 cubic ft. (loose material)-NOW AVAILABLE!
i havent used it but i have used their readygro which is great stuff imo.

the only problem i have is it being rained on to wash it... it isnt a very precise method and it seems like every batch would be slightly different... im sure it still is good stuff tho. u can also use their readygro with coco nutes fyi and it works well.

Hey fellows my advice would be to just completely ignore this guy. If he has any information to share or questions he can do that, but other than that everyone should just let the kid be.

:eyesmoke:
why should everyone ignore me then dick im just try to get information for my grow the same as everyone els n i aint no kid:clap:

A little up date, I didn't want to have to move the plants between the flower rooms but I think I will have to unless I have them the exact same, alright here is the veg stuff

I switched to a 400 MH for the veg

Looks good mate. Some folks don't believe in MH due to their inefficiency, lower lumens per watt compared to HPS.

I currently have half plants under hps and half under mh, the plants under the MH just look way more lush. So good call on switching to MH for veg.

High all, I am new to growing and growing with Canna coco and canna coco nutrients. I have started a journal with pics, called "my grow journal (open journal)" It comes up among the first if you search canna coco. I want to provide a link, but I am using a proxy, and I can't see trhe actual http add. For anyone interested I would love for you to check it out and let me know what you think. It's cool to reply here, or on my journal itself. Thanx ahead for any words.

has any one of you ever cloned in coc, I am tired of rock wool?
hey what's going on man. dude that is my method of choice and honestly its easier than rockwool, and you dont need a dome, and you don't need to make sure the water in the tray stays a quarter inch high, or worry about moisture levels. hey man get you a small dixie cup, i've recently found some little 4 or 5 oz plastic bathroom cups, put trhee or four holes in the bottom, filli it with coco, make your nute solution at about a 25% and go for it. to me, imo it is just easier.

PEACE!!!

make sure clones are WELL rooted before transplanting to coco. also it is VERY IMPORTANT NOT TO SOAK the coco too much at the first waterings < this is some BULLSHIT written by a MOD AND MENTOR on icmag by the name of bonecarver_og...im no mod or mentor but....I have successfully..cloned straight to coco....WITH 1OO% RESULTS...
