What brand coco do you use? I didn't believe HG produced their own coco medium. And did you say you use their other additives in addition to the A+B and Drip Clean.

I'm using Canna Coco coir this round but I have used other brands mostly the cheap brick coco. With Canna you dont have to rinse the coco its good to go out of the bag.. I guess H&G makes their own coco coir, I know because I walked in the grow store to get some H&G stuff and the dude showed me bags of H&G coco coir its very new like barely came out a few weeks ago here in the states, it looks like it be pretty comparable with Canna Coco Coir. Yeah I use H&G Cocos A & B, and all the other additives they make..( roots accelerator, Amino treatment, Multi zen, Magic Green ,etc etc etc...

I'll definitely check them out, I only said I didn't think HG made coco because I can't find a single online retailer for it. I'm either gonna go with the Canna Line or the HG line, with Canna coco most likely. Someone told me to check out Empire Organics coco so I'm looking into them as well.

Yeah H&G coco is literally NEW it just came out not too long ago.. Empire is good too but its from Sri Lanka so you have to wash the shit out of it because it has salts in it. The H&G and Canna is good right out of the bag. But if you feel like saving a few bucks you can go with Empire you just have to rinse the shit out of it.

Yeah I precharge my coco with Cal/mag so I know what you mean. When I used to use the cheap brick coco chips I would always precharge my coco with 5ml Cal/Mag per gallon of water and PH 5.5 and let that shit marinate for 24 hours.

Arent you supposed to use the Bud XL and Top Booster during flower?

What are the advantages and disadvantages to working with coco as opposed to another soilless grow medium like Botanicare's Aeration? From what I understand, the grower has complete control of what nutrients contact the plants in both mediums as their are very little nutrients in coco mixes and Botanicare's Aeration, unlike organic soil mixes. In a somewhat unrelated question why does Botanicare's website claim that the CocoGro mix works for hydro gardens, but the Aeration does not?

Yeah that's what they say........but im not big into putting more shit into my medicine. Top shooter only brings in all those strangler spikes you get off of your pretty pine cone shaped buds, which you get the last two weeks of floweing. so my meds have the non uniform look..
but not one patient has ever said anything but how clean it ashes and burns. Less shit in that doesnt perfect the plant is a wast of time, money, nature and non natural. All imho.
Do u
you use the shooting powder? I hear that it does work well.

Yeah Beavr i saw you use all H&G. The people at the grow store I went to to get my H&G stuff gave me some of teh coco a and b to try. I have them both and havent tried them yet. Can I use them with the canna PK and what nor? Or do I need something else H&G makes to complete their base nutes?
I have been wanting to try them..but I kmow my canna works wonderful with minimal additional additives.
Let me know what you think beavr.

these are my nutes im using at the moment
canna coco pro medium

vegging
Canna A&B, rhizotonic,

flowering
week one Canna A&B, rhizotonic,
week two and three - Canna A&B, rhizotonic, advance nutes Big Bud and H&G Bud Xl
week four and five - Canna A&B, rhizotonic, canna pk13/14 and H&G Bud Xl
week six and seven - Canna A&B, rhizotonic, advance nutes overdrive and H&G Bud Xl
week eight+ flushhh

cannazym and cal/max every 2second watering

ph always at 5.8

my last line up has always been the full canna range good stuff! but i made my few changes as taking the canna boost (good stuff but over priced!) out and using H&G Bud XL instead, also started using big bud and overdrive,

my point is you dont have to use the hole range of the same make, mixing up different nutes works just fine, if not even better!

hope this helps

every thing cool here, hope you been well to!
thats brilliant buddy, what ratio are you using the bud xl per liter?
yeah i agree to!! keeping the canna A&B as the base nutes is a good idea, top quality stuff from my point of view, and best A&B you can buy at a good price,

Not sure how root growth is in Coco, been told it's extremely rapid. Would it be cool to have a 2-3 week veg and 8-9 week flower in 2.5 gal air pots?

And what is the difference between Canna Coco and Canna Coco Pro?

Yeah you get insane roots with just plain coco. Throw in Great White and blam! I use it also and you can tell the difference. Good job man!
