ok, heres a lil something i thought of myself which probally means it wont work, but it seems plauseable. arent paintball gun canisters filled with co2 gas? Would co2 be in good enough ppm if you emptied a few of these bad boys in a small enough grow room.....Just a thought:confused:

the only issue i've seen with paintball gun tanks is they are small and you cannot release and introduce the proper amount when needed. If you don't want to go with a tank setup and tubing. Check out c02 boost. I can say it does work. I've done a crop with and without. The crop without gave me 2 oz less overall. I've tested this with 4 crops using the same nutes and same plant (cloans) I've tried to keep all conditions each time the same to see if one would work over the other, then did it a few more times to make sure i was not fooling myself.

good luck!

i would make a DIY Co2 generator. using a 5 gallon tank of sugar water mix 3 gals of water 2 pounds of sugar and about 5 table spoons of yeast. i did this on a small scale with my small micro cab and the change from the weeks before it to now are 10 folds different the leafage is and nice dark green color. plus its dirt cheap. you can also modify it to you liking using 5 gal jugs with a liter of water in each one with the sugar water mix and yeast. I know a bunch of growers that do this because its still producing co2 for about a week at a time none stop

i must also agree with the sugar water and yeast i make mine in a 5 gallons springwater jug. the only ohter advice i can add is to go to a wine makin store and get a rubber stopper and an airlock both cost me 2.95 canadian. it seals the sugar water yeast mix from the outside air, but lets the co2 escape. dirt and airborn bacteria if it gets to the yeast can prematurely kill it. i find using the rubber stopperand the airlock doubles to triples the length of time it works. i get 2 1/2 to 3 weeks out of my jug.

So you guys saw a real difference between using this setup and not? I have been debating doing one of these rigs.

i saw a difference not a huge difference. The new growth from the plant was healthier, fuller and thicker. So even if its not as much Co2 as a using large tanks but a hell of a lot cheaper and its the same thing.

i use a liter bottle for themirco grow it takes about a 1-2 weeks before i need to make another. i heard that if you add a tiny bit of baking soda it doesn't foam so i have been doing that. it seems to increase the amount of bubbles that are produced and i think helps it stay longer.

only disadvantage is that it stinks after a while. first like pizza dough then like pure alcohol. Its 14% alcohol by valume. standard amount you can get from yeast alone, before distilling it.

if you could put a valve on it to realease it gradually prob. dont want ppms to highly concentrated at one time. Could be hard to breath!!! but if cost effective could be brilliance!!! Maybe use a torch head connected to a hose feeding gas to fan. could take some experimenting to get flow to air ratio to bellow 1500.... Good luck!!!

I wouldn't go that crazy, the DYI CO2 generators don't pump out a high enough amount of CO2 but enought o make a difference inthe grow..... if you're going to take it to that extreme, just buy a tank of CO2 and a regulator. I would make 1 liter bottles and place them at the base of the plant.
