Co2 Wtf????

i personally don't really think CO2 is needed unless you have a room full of weed that is depleteing the levels. i don't think a single plant under CFL's really needs CO2. i tried running CO2 all winter and i didn't see any major difference. my levels were at max for 12 hours a day. i think a lot of people are getting sidetracked on CO2 when they should be focused on other things. CO2 is more a "final tweak". adding small doses here and there really isn't going to do much. this is just my opinion.

fdd2blk right on with that point, I am new to growing but agree with you that unless your trying to produce a huge commercial crop or some shit like that; there really is no need to kill yourself stressing about C02. I have 3 dogs 1 girlfriend and myself= plenty of C02 in the house to circulate around:-)

I used it for this entire grow and honestly. I don't see any difference whatsover with it.. Im still debating it on using it next time around.. Im contemplating not growing for awhile...

i agree, i have used it my last 2 crops, and this last one, they were jam'n TILL i put the Co2 on them, then they slowed down, it only seems to increase temps and promote mites

in the summer time i have no added co2 in winter i have co2 as a by product of my gas furnace and hot water tank i measured it at 1800 in winter, the result is that the buds mature about a week earlier but the yield doesnt, just my opinion.

i agree that small grows dont need co2....closed system grows may need some co2 adjustment....but i think when growing 20+ plants an everything else is honed in...you defently see an increase in bud production an speed of growth...but the key is having everything else centered to really see the bennifits from using it.....peace az

Wow. This is interesting.

Yes I have to agree that many people here if not most people do unneccessary things to try and get their plants to grow better(like the CO2) when most of it is just hyped overkill. I think if these same people were to just honour their plants life cycle and give it lots of TLC along with proper light water and nutrient their plants would grow a lot better.:blsmoke: Its actually kind of sad to see. :?

thats interesting... I haven't tried using co2 yet, but I'm leaving it as one of my last priorities when it comes to equipment

I will says its a lot way better to get better equipment, lights, nuts, etc and if you have that extra money go for it

More CO2 Means more light and food used. CO2 is a staple part of every room. The last large cycle, i stopped co2.

The result was my plants need 500 less ppm! the weight was much less!

i am totally on when it comes to co2. In fact i have a huge hoard of CO2 tanks, my co2 bill is usually close to one of my electic bills every 60 days.

to give you a $ mark. last time the room made 3.8 lbs
this run with more plants less CO2 1.9 lbs
350.00 worth of Co2 cost me nearly 12,000 in lost product!

I would have to partly agree with fdd I have been growing up to 6 small plants without co2 for about 3 years and other than a fan blowing fresh air over the plants thats all i need, back when i lived in philly me and a frnd had a rather large grow op in a warehouse and co2 was definatly needed their but it was like 80 plants, but for the personal grower i don't think its needed
