CO2 or Hydroponics?!

So i have a limited amount of money, and i am trying to figure out which would be the best when it comes to the yield and the speed of the grow from beginning to end:hydroponics or Co2? i know that using both together would be the best, but if i can only afford one which route should i go?

Thank you i apprecitate all comments on this

I would go with hydro. Though my experience is JUST with hydro. Never did a soil grow nor CO2. For some extra CO2, do some DIY stuff with some yest or baking soda lol. Hydro maximizes your yields, if you do it right.

Go with the hydro dude. You can grow so much faster with hydroponics. I think that your start up money is better spent on a good hydro rig. Co2 is nice but generaly kind of expensive to start up.

is hydro going to yield more than plants with co2? Im just trying to grow as much as i can as fast as possible.

thanks for your posts fellow stoners

From what I have read, CO2 increases yield, Hydro maximizes and makes everything more efficient. If you wanna grow a lot and quick, go with hydro. You should do your research. I thought I did but I screwed up realllll bad. I was like two weeks into flowering when I realized that my plants havent been fed lol. My yield was 6g dry.

Before you invest, do some research, read journals. Just because people call us stoners, doesnt mean we are dumb. Know what you are doing because it is really easy to mess up, ESPECIALLY with hydro (not to scare you or anything). If you talk with people on here, the majority will tell you that CO2 is for experienced farmers who want to perfect perfection. Im talking about the people who grow >1g/watt.

For people like you and I, start easy, soil. You wanna step it up, go soil-less (thats where im at), and then start to invest in ebb and flow, areoponics and bubbleponics. I got a big bag of ProMix from my local supplier for cheap, plastic pots, and pH down. I went with 20-20-20 Miracle gro plant food. CFL lights, adaptors and such from homedepot. PPM meter and pH meter from ebay for cheap.

It set me back at a fraction of what you are going to spend on CO2. If my estimates are right, I spent about $150 on a total setup. Do more research before you spend, the worst thing is when you fuck up and say, why did I spend so much money on this. Just my two cents.

thanks man this is the shit that im needing to hear. well now that i am probably going to go with soil and a co2 using a regulator, do you have any tips that can help me maximize my yield?

Ya set up a cheap ass bubbleponic set up. Fuck the dirt and save your money on the Co2 till you learn how to grow. Didn't you read anything everyone just posted. If you wanna grow fast and maximize your yield ditch the dirt. Plus BUGS LOVE DIRT!!!!! a Co2 system is a spendy proposition. You can't just buy a regulator and think I have Co2 now its all good. YOu need to calculate flow rate, consumption rates, room volume, ambient parts per million, if your fans have removed your Co2 and so on. You could buy a Co2 monitor and controller but that is a $300 -$700 investment. In turn you can build a bubbleponic set up for $40 or $50. I just grew 3' plants in 21 days in hydro. Good luck pulling that off in dirt.

CO2 is the last thing that should be added to a grow op, after everything else is dialed in and perfected as best at it can be. So what I am saying is, there is a learning curve, if you are planning on switching to hydro in the future just do it now and add CO2 after you have it figured out.
