Co2 can you use this kind of regulator?

Is it possible to use a Co2 regulator and tank from a home brew kit? I'm pretty sure there is one laying around that I can get a hold of. I think it is a double regulator kinda like this one....

I should add I would just open and close the valve manually when the lights are on
