I am on the 25th day of flowering. I started adding co2 in the form of water sugar & yeast in the 20oz. coke bottles. I hung them over the plants, thinking that the co2 would drop down on them. They are growing well but some of the fizz after I shake it up drips on the leaves and just about kills the leaves in 1-3 days. What do you think???:leaf:

I think you should keep the bottles farther away from the plant or put some cardboard plates under the bottles, so the fizz falls on the plates instead of the leaves. You wouldn't want that stuff on your buds.

so do you think the leaves that are burnt now, will kill the bud also or stop it from growing, or should they be OK??:leaf:

This is normal dude… It will also cause the plant to change colors. When I started adding co2 my leaves started to turn a purple yellow color. Just read about it that is going to be your best bet. Go to unky Google and ask him the same question you just asked us and you will get your answers.

Make an airlock. Take a piece of tubing and wrap tape around it till it fits snugg in the bottles mouth. Then place the other end in another bottle or water. This will also keep your yeast culture happier by keeping out foreign nasties.

Better yet, buy a cheapie one at the brew sho when you buy your brewers yeast.

Also, I'm not sure of the need to shake it. All your doing is releasing the CO2 that is diffused in the water. This just means that you will have a refractory period afterwards where the water absorbs more c02 to replace the amount agitated out.

Wow, that's some nasty burn. Make sure this won't happen again. Your plant will recuperate, bud production will be a tad slower than usual, but in the end you'll still have a good harvest, so don't worry. Just learn from the mistake and let your plant catch up on some healing.
