Cmh problems. 2 bulbs blown in a week.

I wish it was as easy as taking it out and putting it back in but theres little shards of glass inside so I dont think that will help haha.

my bulb has glass in it too. Still works. It’s absurd.

Thats crazy it still works. I would be too worried about a fire to use a bulb with broken pieces inside. Luckily the cmh has 2 layers of glass so the shards are contained in the first layer.

Luckily they are going to send a replacement for the second bulb and will pay to have the ballast and reflector sent back so they can figure out the problem.

They said they havent had many returns for the lamps lately so its probably not a bad batch of bulbs. Most likely its an issue with the ballast or a loose connection on the reflector.
