Club Quantum Board

if you ran 3 vented hoods in there, the hoods themselves would radiate as much heat as the QBs put out, so you still have to deal with heat. And unless your lucky enough to vent the exhaust outdoors, you still will need air conditioning. Then you have the power consumption overhead of HPS's lack of efficiency. Nope, going that route will cost you more
I see I would be exhausting outside my room temp is no greater than 75 Im finding with my cobs its a reall fight in a 4 by 4. I hit 85 easy though I havent vent outside yet with this setup

Were thinking cmh or led. I think they both will put out the same amout heat depending on watts 100 watts of led is still 100 watts of heat. Yes 10 percent more efficiency slightly less but not that much. If we can vent out the hood to the outside thats an advantage...

Not that you would ever have to run them that high, I thought at first the yellowing you see here was due to nitrogen defficiency but I looks like it is actually light burn.

It haulted growth for the last week and started yellowing but not on lower or outer leaves as much, I have since raised the light and bumped down the power and in just a couple days I notice growth returning.

So, ~320w at about 13" is way too much. Dropped her to about 290-300w and 18" to see how she does.

This White Widow seems to be very sativa dominant, I'm hoping they plump up towards the end or this may be a very disappointing pheno. Guessing she has 6 weeks to go.

Quick update on the white widow, she's 2 weeks into 12/12. Trying to maintain stretch as I am mostly out of screen on 3 sides and any more tucking in the front will cause an uneven canopy.

My temp diff from lights on/off is only a few degrees right now and I am running the lights real close and letting them grow into it even more, seems to be helping some. I've been taking a couple hand fulls of leaves every few days too to open it up.

Quick question: How do you keep your scrog frame propped up? I cant think of anything to just attach it to the tent poles. only by just adding legs to the corners of the frame like a table.

I added legs but you could get some rope ratchets and just use those. is it a pvc frame or just a net. Just a net I would just ziptie it.

Thanks, I actually ended up stopping by home depot today to build the pvc frame for this grow. I ended up using some small 90 cent clamps just to keep it up, and it seems to be working pretty well so far. Plus it makes it easy to adjust the height if needed.

Now that has made my day
If they dont stock the kits, it's really not difficult to piece together since you already have a couple. Just look at what boards they gave you, and order 2 + the slate 3 triple, the drivers are usually pretty well priced on mouser, and the misc stuff like wire, wagos, and a power cord can be gotten on amazon or ebay.
If you arent in a rush to assemble, wait to get the accessories until after you get your stuff from HLG, because at least in my box it came with some freebies(power cord, wagos, hangers, screws, etc.)

Hey sorry, just saw this, took a picture for you. Thumb screws through side out fittings, very simple, I glue in a small puece of pipe to give the screw extra material to hold to.

No worries and thanks for the input! Too bad for me, because your method is pretty much what I had wanted to do, but didn't know how to go about making it or finding something like that to buy.
