Cloudy nutrients and low pH

Hi everyone. Need some advice . I am using the nutrients in the photo on my grow. My tap water comes out at 6pH, I add my nutrients and it takes the pH down to 1.60. When I add pH up solution the water just goes cloudy. What is the correct order I should mix them? Thanks for any advice.

How much are you using of those nutrients? If you're using enough to drop the pH to 1.6 you're either using way too much or your pH meter is wrong. How are you measuring pH? When you add pH up solution you need to dilute it prior to mixing it in with your nutrient solution. But honestly, I've never heard of nutrients taking the pH down to 1.6. Also, usually you need to lower the pH not raise it.

1.6 pH would be between hydrochloric acid and vinegar. I think your pH measurement is way off.

I agree on the measurement likely being inaccurate. I like to use the testing solution rather than wondering if my meter is properly calibrated.

1.6 sounds more like an EC reading

Thanks for that. Will get a new pH tester tomorrow. But still don't know why it's going cloudy when I add pH up solution ,, I add to 6 litre of water, 4 ml of calmag 4ml of A an B and 2ml of bloom.

The general hydroponics pH kit with the test solution and vial would be my recommendation.

What pH up are you using?

I'm just using one called API. pH up. visiting a hydroponics shop later today so hopefully get some more information.

Hi guys problem solved. My pH meter was goosed. All back to normal. Just a wee photo of my grow. Thanks for help and advice.

Are you adding the pH solution directly into the nutrient solution or are you diluting it prior to adding it? You need to dilute it first and you add it last.

Yes have been adding straight to nutes, But now will dilute in a water jug before I add it to nutes.
