What type of mattress do you sleep on?
How old is it ?
And what’s the most important thing a mattress should be doing for you?
are you a back sleeper and going for support? Or are you more of a middle of the road person and prefer a hybrid?
What’s more Important to you, the quality or the price ? My brother has kept his stinking mattress for over 25 years! His wife wants a new one but he doesn’t want to part with that damn thing . It repulses me to think of how many pounds of dead skin cells are in that old thing .lol.

Wife and I bought a firm natural latex mattress made in Seattle. Best money I have ever spent on a mattress.
How much was it?
I love Otis mattresses. They're listed as futons, but some models don't fold. I love an extra firm bed so I purchased the queen sized 150 -

I have a folding couch in the living room with a slightly softer, foldible model, a full sized 110 -

I got another year or two on the 150 before I purchase another. Best mattress I've ever slept on...
Sounds good.

There are so many models out there!
Going to the mattress store to test them is such a process. I have paid so much for so many mattresses and sometimes make big mistakes .
just sold my Helix lux midnight in San Jose . We had it for only 6 months . It was pretty good and I would say comfortable but I would wake up a lot. The mattress I was sleeping on at the hotel was a Beauty Rest 360. It was soft and comfortable, good for side sleeping but my lumbar would hurt while on my back.
Si many people praise the Amazon box mattress and they are well priced.
I have a couple in my cart contemplating a purchase.

I've got shoulder issues on both sides so I move around often while sleeping which use to wake her up, it's not a issue with a mattress with no coils in it. Should mention it's wrapped in a organic cotton cover.

Little over $1000 but that was nearly 10 years ago.

I really like the idea of a having that futon couch and mattress. Thanks for the links. What kind of frame do you recommend an also what kind of cover for it. I had a super comfortable futon mattress like 25 years ago and freaking loved it. I had a hard time finding it later. This might be the one.

Looks like a Seattle company so I won’t be able to test them out but I really like the idea of natural and will be going back to the place I saw the natural mattresses with copper cooling top and get that one.
we went to REi yesterday to get a temporary mattresses pad to sleep on. It looked super thick and comfy . When I unrolled it realized it was only a twin ! Husband slept in my yoga mat and I had that HEST mat and that HESt mat was like the most uncomfortable piece of shit I have ever tried to sleep on. I ended up switching to the yoga mat and that was more comfortable that that fkN HEST mat which cost like $260. I’m returning. REI has great return policy. That’s the 3rd REI mattress I have returned this past month. Overpriced and suck!

I have a cherry wood slatted futon frame for the Otis 110 that I got off Craigslist a decade ago. It is really nice. For the cover I bought this mircrofiber suede, it fits so nice, and is very smooth and soft -

Guests love sitting on it, and overnight guests love the way it sleeps. Merry Christmas, Doc.

That’s awesome. Ty . MC 2 u 2.
I am back at a hotel to sleep on a mattress. Tomorrow, hope will get the one for the new pad. Nothing worse than sleeping on a shit mattress.
soft sheets and soft mattress are heavenly,

I sleep in a lazy boy recliner due to back issues. We purchased only custom made mattresses from the original mattress factory. They hand build in house and was no more expensive than a mid quality sealy or serta or whatever.

That’s awesome. I need to get one. We went to AFW ( American Furniture Warehouse) last weekend and sat in so many couches and recliners. None were so great. Still looking. I was looking g in Amazon and at the crap they sell and have me a good laugh. The reviews with images made me lol. One person places a skeleton sitting on his new couch. And another couch with a one star review because it was so small, like made for a kid. Have you ever ordered something online and you thought it was bigger than when you get it? Lol. That happened to me with a recent purchase. It is a colander
For washing fruit. It was so small. That’s only a colander. Can you image ordering a couch when you are a large 6’2 250lbs and the couch is made for an 8 year old. lol. What a disappointment . Checking measurements is quite important.

Right I just bought a hygrometer and when I opened the box it was the size of a tictac box, lol. I wrote a review and they emailed me within hours saying can we make it up to you with a bigger one for free. As for mattress don't have a link a client I work for ordered these bamboo mattresses that you have to open and be careful as it unrolls itself and expands for five minutes, really comfortable.

Isn’t that small one for your curing jar?
