Closet sealing

I have a 2'x7' closet I am using as a flower room right now and I would like to light seal it. I was thinking of having something made unless you guys know where I can get something that might work....I need a "blanket" if you will, with a vertical zipper sewed in to enter the flower room. It would need to be 6' wide by 7'10" tall and have 2 layers (black canvas and reflective mylar film). It would then be velcro'd to the inside of the closet opening.

Or does anybody know where I can get a reflective fabric such as that on the inside of grow tents? Or any other ideas?

There is an inexpensive fabric I heard of, I think its called blackout fabric.
You may want to look into that.

If you are planning on using this for an extended period (a few years perhaps?) I would look into a boat canvas shop. They can sew you up anything with materials of your choice w/ a nice heavy duty zipper. It shouldn't cost too much as it sounds like a simple rectangle, but would be very durable & professional.

I found one of those tarp zippers on another hydro website and was thinking of having my girlfriends mom sew something up for me...assuming I can find a sewable mylar fabric. I like the idea of blackout fabric. only like 5 bucks a yard (and 54" inch's wide).

I already hung that stuff overlapped so it blocked light...It drove me nuts and I ended up ripping it out...thanks for the idea though!

Depending on the price, that is probably the best idea yet...Do you know of a reflective fabric I can buy (that is sewable) that I could bring to them and have them layer the canvas and reflective stuff? Another idea I had was to call some of the grow tent companies and see if they would make something up for me.

what about Hydrofarm's B&W poly,I used it to cover some walls that had wood paneling.4 or 5.5 mil thick,and strong.

the walls are covered in blk/wht poly....i had a plant go hermie on me 4 weeks into flower due to small light leaks around the closet doors so I need to seal the opening but also keep it looking like a closet from the outside. My solution is to hang something inside the doors to seal the light leaks (not poly...i already had that and it drove me nuts)

I'm going threw a similar issue my closet is cold i sealed it with silicon cocking,still don't lnow what is the best material to keep out light,and the cold.Still kinda cool in there i might put up panda film it is black and white like poly when i go to the hydro shop i will figure it out if the material is thick or thin. If it is think i will try rona home depot lowes whatever to find a material that can isulate light and bad weather.Apply that first then try to put mylar over itI hear it is hard but rome was not built in oneday patience is key.Smoke i spliff think about it,the bestway is your way buddyother people opinions only matter if you guys live in the same city weather changes from country to country lil commonsense goes a long way plus i got that panda idea from a dude on here too so i took idea smoked one and improved it
